I just want to share my experience in the adjustment of status through marriage interview. Our appointment was in Los Angeles office, eight floor at 10:30 am, we arrived at 10:00 am and wait for probably 30 minutes before the officer call us to go inside, I don't remember his name but he was very funny and friendly, even thought my husband was nervous, everything went well and I was approved on the spot !!!
The questions were simple and not difficult to answer to a real marriage couple:
"where does your spouse lives'
"name of your spouse"
"your spouse birthday"
"where she/he was born"
"name of your spouse parents"
"how did you guys meet"
'how was the first date"
They went over my adjustment of status application as well my husband sponsorship form
The officer told us to wait for about 15 minutes while he was making copies and thinking about his decision, he came to us with our original docume... read complete review

Had my aos interview yesterday. Arrived at about 2 and interview was at 2.15 we went in just before 3. The officer confirmed some information like name dob, parents names and address. He asked us how we met he then asked for Photos, he took a few photos, we offered to show some flight itineraries which he took. he asked if we had joint financial documents and we gave him joint lease, car insurance, bank accounts, and phone bill and said "you look like a real couple to me, give me a bit to make copies" we were in and out within 5 minutes we waited for about 15 mins and he came out and said you've been approved! Very easy and relaxed. However I will say some couples went in before us and were in there for over 30 minutes so every situation is different.

Our interview was scheduled for 8.15am at the USCIS office in DTLA. My wife & I don't live far from DTLA and planned to arrive about 40 minutes earlier from advice in the reviews on the site.
We parked around the corner at Aiso Street Parking Garage which was $1/hr for the first 2 hours then $3/hr for the next subsequent hour. We weren't thinking it would take more than 2-3hours. The other parking station across from the USCIS building was something like $16 if you don't want to walk another 500 feet. Anyway parking was $5 total, a little over 2 hours.
We arrived around 7.40am and the line outside the building was not too long but was moving.
Remember to not bring any metal objects that might look like weapons. I accidentally had a small folding corkscrew/pocket knife in my bag and they made me walk outside and get rid of it before letting me back in. The pens and markers in my bag were also queried as suspicious (i'm a designer)!? but was allowed to keep. ... read complete review

Posting this just hours after an APPROVAL at the Los Angeles USCIS office! Our appt was set for 1:15PM and we arrived a little early (traffic can be awful) by 12:15PM. There is no parking at the Federal Building, however if you turn down Judge Aiso St. off Temple, there is a lot called Aiso St. Parking Lot with $1/hr parking for the first 2hours. We left within that time, so $2 was actually really good. However, if you're coming from farther away, you can park anywhere in Little Tokyo where there's generally $8-10 full day parking and really nice places to eat and de-stress.
Office is on the 8th floor, it's right outside the elevator so you can't miss it. When we got there, there were only 4 other applicants ahead of us. We waited for about 40 mins before being called. Our officer's name was Officer Wilson, and he was very friendly and jovial and made us very relaxed. He asks questions directly off the submitted application, so it wasn't anything we didn't know or any tr... read complete review

We arrived a bit early expecting to have to wait in line but there was not one. We were asked to check in at 2:15 for our 2:30 appointment. We sat in the waiting room for about 30 minutes gauging the officers calling other people back hoping we got a "happy person". But they all seemed pleasant enough. When were were called a nice older woman lead us back to her office. She explained to us the process and that she would mostly be talking to my husband. He asked if he would be able to ask me for clarification if he got confused and she said it was no problem. She went over some basic questions from the application and asked him to verify our basic information. It didn't seem like an interview. More like a conversation. She asked for his divorce information, birth certificate and our passports. She stated my affidavit of support was good and didn't ask for any other financial documents. She casually asked out our wedding, where we had traveled, and if we had any pictures. I gave her abo... read complete review
