After sending all the copies of the documents they asked me (Beneficiary) in the Instructions Package, we waited for 3 months to get an appointment for the interview. Since they were taking so long, I emailed them, and they never replied, so I decided to call to see what was going on, a lady told me that I had to pay the fee and then I would have the option to pick a date for my interview (just like the tourist visa) so we paid online, and we picked the interview for Feb 10th since we thought my medical exam would expire on Feb 11th. I was ready for my interview, my fiancé didn't attempt, so i went alone. My appointment was at 11:30AM. I got there at 10:40am, and i decided to go in at 11am, when I got to the first step which it's the window outside, i said I had an appointment for an immigrant visa, and the guy looked at me like WTF? and he told me to please show him the confirmation page where it said that i had an appointment that day, so i did. And he was checking on the computer, ... read complete review

I arrived to the Embassy at 8:35. My appointment was at 9:00.
I went to Window #1 and they asked me to wait near. 8:45 they started calling people for immigration visa.
I went there, they just asked my name and gave me the famous green folder.
I went through security and then directly to step 4 (Finger prints). There was a guy who saw my folder and asked me to go without waiting (you don't have to do any line).
Then I went in to the step 5. And I sat down on the immigration waiting area (It is on the right, the left part is just for tourist visas). I put all the documents into the green folder (the documents they ask for are all the docs we sent in Package 3 but this time, the originals, and also the old passports)
Around 9:15 they call me by my name to window 5. There was a guy who spoke in spanish and asked me to see the green folder. He checked all the documents and gave me back some that he didn't need.
As I... read complete review

Our interview was set for Oct 26th at 10:00 (a few weeks later than it would have normally been, but we requested this and they were very accommodating and prompt). We both decided to attend in the hopes that it may help our case.
When we submitted our K-3, we got a reply correcting some small omissions (notably the Police report was missing the exception 51 notification). Before the interview we fixed those errors and came in with all the paperwork requested.
We ended up arriving at around 9:30, but they let us in anyways, We were taken through window #1, given the "green envelope", went to fingerprinting, security (a USB thumbdrive on a keychain was kept at security for us), and sat down in the crowded room full of all types of applicants. At 10, we were called in to a small room, they collected all the additional paperwork, gave us back 80% of the additional papers they didn't need, and told us to wait.
At around 10:30 we saw t... read complete review

Our interview was Monday October 5th at 10am. My fiancé (USC) and I got there around 9:30 and waited for 20 minutes at the park across the street before going to Window 1. The guy at the window asked for my passport, and he gave me a piece of paper and instructions that were on a green folder. Then we went through security and gave them our phones (which they hold during the duration inside) and passed through the metal detectors.
The first step was having my fingerprints taken. There was a line and we waited there at first, but a woman approached me and said that because I had an immigration appointment I didn't have to wait in line (she knew this because of the green folder I held). We went together at the front and took my fingerprints. After that she directed us to the waiting area for appointments.
We sat in the back of the room and put our documents together as specified on the green folder instructions. We realized we had a lot of documents we did... read complete review
