Review Topic: K1 Visa

After sending all the copies of the documents they asked me (Beneficiary) in the Instructions Package, we waited for 3 months to get an appointment for the interview. Since they were taking so long, I emailed them, and they never replied, so I decided to call to see what was going on, a lady told me that I had to pay the fee and then I would have the option to pick a date for my interview (just like the tourist visa) so we paid online, and we picked the interview for Feb 10th since we thought my medical exam would expire on Feb 11th. I was ready for my interview, my fiancé didn't attempt, so i went alone. My appointment was at 11:30AM. I got there at 10:40am, and i decided to go in at 11am, when I got to the first step which it's the window outside, i said I had an appointment for an immigrant visa, and the guy looked at me like WTF? and he told me to please show him the confirmation page where it said that i had an appointment that day, so i did. And he was checking on the computer, then he called some other guys and they were all checking together on the computer, after a few seconds he told me they didn't have any appoinment for me, and he asked me how did I get that appointment, so I explained to him how just like i said at the beginning, what he replied was that i should of waited until they contacted me, because the Call Center always do the thing WRONG javascript:emoticon('') then he said they were going to check and ask the consul if she could interview me, since I'm from Mendoza and i had to go over there by an airplane and it was not my mistake, great that they considered it! so he told me to wait in one of the sides where there was an "R" letter. I waited for about 15 minutes, then a guy asked me for my passport through the door where you get out of the Embassy, and a few minutes later he gave me back the passport, I waited for 10 minutes more, and the same guy called me again through window number 1 (outside the embassy) and he told me that the consul was okay with interviewing me just because i already had my medical exam, he gave me a little paper saying WINDOW 5 and told me to go through security and directly to go inside building and there was a woman as a receptionist who asked me for my name and told me to get a seat in the right for Immigrant visas. And as soon as i sat down, the same guy that asked me for my passport went to tell me that i had to go to window 5 because there was someone waiting for me. The window number 5 is a little room with a window but you can close the door and sit down. I went there and a lady was very rude calling me Señorita. She told me that i should of waited until they contacted me like 5 TIMES, and i was just trying to be nice but I was still confused, she told me my police records weren't good because i didn't get them from Capital Federal and it didn't say "Exception of Art. 51 of the Penal Code" but she told me i could get an appointment to get them that day and mail it to them later. So, she told me the interview would be the next day, she confirmed it, and she told me to get there at 9:30AM. (In such a rude way) I left, I messaged my boyfriend and we had to find an hotel to spend the night, he was working and he had to get out and go home. It was such a stressful situation. The next day i got to the Embass at 9am, I went through step 1, easy and fast, the same guy was there and he gave me the famous green folder and told me to put the documents when im in the building, I went through security again, step 4 (fingerprints) and again inside the building, I waited for about 10 minutes, and the same lady called me through window 6, she asked me for the green folder with the documents, and she asked me if I had any pictures, so I gave her an Album, and then I waited until 12:35PM, everybody left already from tourist visas and also from immigrant visas, I was the last one!! So I was called through window 5 again and there was a young woman waiting for me, she was smiling and super nice, she told me to close the door and I was like “well there’s nobody outside though” and she laughed, and asked me for my fingerprints again, then she asked me to tell her how we met, where are his parents from, what does my mom think about it, where does my fiancé work, then I told her about a few funny moments and we laughed a bit, she asked me how we communicate which I said Spanglish and that he’s really into Argentinian accent now, we kept laughing and she said the only thing she needed was my police records that I have to mail them, and that I would be getting it around Feb 22th. She told me “Congratulations, I hope you two are happy together and good luck!” and she gave me back all the copies they asked me in the instructions package. And that was it ! If it wasn’t prove enough of our love, I don’t know what would be! Hahaha javascript:emoticon('') ♥ ♥
