I arrived to the Embassy at 8:35. My appointment was at 9:00.
I went to Window #1 and they asked me to wait near. 8:45 they started calling people for immigration visa.
I went there, they just asked my name and gave me the famous green folder.
I went through security and then directly to step 4 (Finger prints). There was a guy who saw my folder and asked me to go without waiting (you don't have to do any line).
Then I went in to the step 5. And I sat down on the immigration waiting area (It is on the right, the left part is just for tourist visas). I put all the documents into the green folder (the documents they ask for are all the docs we sent in Package 3 but this time, the originals, and also the old passports)
Around 9:15 they call me by my name to window 5. There was a guy who spoke in spanish and asked me to see the green folder. He checked all the documents and gave me back some that he didn't need.
As I had chosen to pay for the visa in the Embassy (in Pesos argentinos) he told me I was going to be called by window #12 to pay.
I went outside and 5 minutes later they called me to pay.
After that step, I have been waiting for more than 1 hour. 10: 25 a lady call me to window 5 again. She was the CO and was really nice.
She started to speak in spanish and I said we could do it in english, but she said it was ok in spanish and if she didn't understand something she was going to ask me in english. So the interview was in spanish.
She made me just few questions. So easy and relaxed. First she asked me if I swear everything I was going to say was truth. Then she said: “ So, you are Fer and your fiance is Rob” (yes! She called us by our nicknames) Then she asked how we met, how many times I have been in the US, if I met his family, If he has been here in Argentina, what I do for living, what does he do for living, what I was planning to do in the US after marry (work or study). And the last one was about our wedding plans.
She was very nice all the time. We also laughed and made some jokes about my answers. For example when I told her that in our first date Rob invited me to have dinner at 6pm, thing that here in Argentina is weird since we usually have dinner at 9 pm so she laughed and made a comment like "that was weird for you".
After that, she said she didn't have any more questions and that of course my visa was approved She said she keep my passport and I was going to receive an email with the news when it is ready (in around 1 week) to pick up
My advice is to be relaxed, and say the truth always! If you don't know, just say "I don't remember", or if you have doubts about something, tell them. For example we have doubts about our wedding plans. And I told her that we plan to do a small ceremony with just family during the 90 days and then a big party in 2017 so we have time to prepare it but we don't have any plans yet. We don't know if we are going to do it in USA or Argentina or a neutral country. And she was ok and understanding with the answer.
Good luck to all who come behind! And if you have any questions do not hesitate to write me. I will try to help you with my personal experience!
