Officer was extremely nice, long appointment, almost 90 minutes for interview, but I was approved. I had all my paperwork to prove our marriage is valid, rental agreement since 2008, photos, rental insurance, etc. I had original and copy for marriage cert, our son's birth cert, my birth cert. If they ask you for it, make sure you give original and copy, they'll return original but want to review it. I am finally legal. Thank you Lord.

Today I had the interview for the AOS. My husband, 9 old months son, little dog and I drove for 30 minutes and got there 25 min before the appointed time. Little wait, I thought it would be more because the room was full of people. But they soon called us, and a courteous lady escorted us to the interview room. Her demeanor was very nice, she swore us in and warned us she would be asking some questions for the matter of national security that we should not take it as personal. Then, all smiles... It was just like a chat with a new friend who wants to get to know you more. She interviewed my husband first, checking the information on the application. Then she interviewed me, regular stuff from the application, all the national security questions, how did my husband "find" me, when and where, did he proposed, the situation with my son's application (we have another filling going on for my son). The friendly conversation took about 20 minutes, and she said we were approved! Painless! She... read complete review

Our interview was one of the worst experiences of my life! 100x worse than the DMV. Our appointment was for 10:30, so we arrived at 10 a.m. and waited for nearly two and a half hours, in a room absolutely packed with people. Of the two available bathrooms, one was out of order and locked and the other had no toilet paper. The "receptionist" was incredibly rude. At around noon, my husband walked up to politely ask if she could tell him how many people were ahead of us or anything and she just snapped at him that we'd be called when they were ready for us, and to sit back down. We paid USCIS this ridiculous amount of money to be treated like cattle?
Finally we were called in and the lady was apparently suspicious of us because we were married at the courthouse. She kept asking us why we didn't get married at a church. Uhh, because we're not religious? Then she chided me for not having more joint assets. I brought my tax return for this year with both of our names, our join... read complete review

My husband and I arrived a half hour early for our 9:35 am appointment. But we were not seen until 11, so 2 hrs in the waiting room with no clocks. Good times!
Finally, my name was called, husband (the USC) and I were sworn in and sat down. The interviwer, a nice middle-aged american woman seemed pleasant and friendly, unlike some other officers we saw in the window. Those guys didn't even smile back at the kids who were going in with their parents for the interview.
Anyway, first, she asked me all the stuff from I-485. Acutally, she only asked me the terrorism/drugs/prostitution ?-s. And other info, like my maiden name, and my parents' names she read out to me, and asked to confirm. She also asked me to confirm my phone number and my signature on the form.
After that, the officer proceeded to sking us about
How we met?
When?
How soon did we start going out?
Exclusively?
When did he introduce me to his mom?
Has he met an... read complete review
