My husband and I arrived a half hour early for our 9:35 am appointment. But we were not seen until 11, so 2 hrs in the waiting room with no clocks. Good times!
Finally, my name was called, husband (the USC) and I were sworn in and sat down. The interviwer, a nice middle-aged american woman seemed pleasant and friendly, unlike some other officers we saw in the window. Those guys didn't even smile back at the kids who were going in with their parents for the interview.
Anyway, first, she asked me all the stuff from I-485. Acutally, she only asked me the terrorism/drugs/prostitution ?-s. And other info, like my maiden name, and my parents' names she read out to me, and asked to confirm. She also asked me to confirm my phone number and my signature on the form.
After that, the officer proceeded to sking us about
How we met?
When?
How soon did we start going out?
Exclusively?
When did he introduce me to his mom?
Has he met any of my family?
Who and when proposed?
How did we stay in touch while i was gone? (we met when i was an au pair in the US, then i had to leave, and we filed for K1, it took a while for me to come back to the States)
Where was the wedding?
When?
Who came?
Where did we go after?
when we told her the name of the hotel, she got very excited and asked how it was, because her husband and her have been planning to go there for a while but still haven't had a chance. Nice small talk.
Then she asked for some joint documents. I got excited, thinking "Now is my time to shine", and I was glad I had a chance to prove my husband wrong, and show him I was NOT panicking for no reason. I just wanted to be prepared for everything. But instead, after I presented her with our joint medical insurance, car insurance, and a couple phone bills ( I highlighted both our names on every piece of paper), she said OK, thats enough. And printed out the "Congratulations" notice. It went very well, exceot for a very long wait.
