We had the AOS interview on 4/20/2009.
The waiting room was pretty packed but we were called only a few minuites late for our appointment time.
The IO was a young woman, who was very friendly.
She escorted us to her office, and then the interview started with both of us together in the same room.
First, she asked us to raise the right hand to swear.
The questions we were asked were more like reviewing application.
IO asked legal name, address, those kind of info to both of us, then to me (beneficially), those "NO" questions like if I have joined terrorist activity etc.
Then asked us if we have any other supporting documents, so we showed the very recent tax documents, my husband's(petitioner, USC) pay stub, all insurance documents under his name which covers me too, lease agreement, and most recent bank statement.
We gave her pictures too but she didn't realy go through those.
Then she told us to wait here while she c... read complete review

I am the foreign spouse and my husband is the USC
There are some metered parking spots behind the building but if you go down the street a bit there are some free parking spots.
We arrived about 20 minutes early and there were three other couples waiting, one of them had a huge box full of documents that was about 6-7 inches thick! We just waited around 5 minutes when someone to call us in even though we were early. We were interviewed by the same officer separately starting with me. I had read that they interview couples separately in Indianapolis and I also overheard the attorney with the couple sitting behind us saying that they sometimes interview couples separately.
The officer swore me in then asked for identification. He looked at my passport while I was taking it out and said "Romania huh?" (I'm from the UK lol). Both countries have dark red passports but the UK one is a lot darker. After I corrected him, he looke... read complete review

My husband and I came in for our AOS interview to permanent resident based on marriage. We arrived about 10 minutes before the scheduled time which in my opinion was a bit too late but it ended up being fine. We ended up parking in a metered spot on the street in front of the office as the parking lot in front of the building charges $5 for parking. It was just as well as we were only there for about 35 mins total.
When we walked in, after they briefly searched us we turned in our invite letter to the officer at the window and took a seat. My (applicant) name was called right at our scheduled time. We were called in to talk to the officer separately. An officer that called my name walked me to his office in the back where I took the oath to tell the truth. He asked for my passport and state Id (drivers license). He then went through the I-485 application I mailed to USCIS asking me my name, my address, date of birth, a series of NO questions (have you ever been arrested... read complete review

In Indianapolis they interview all couples separately but it was a piece of cake, they just asked simple questions about the house and how we met, that was it, really easy.

I walked in today to the Indianapolis office after receiving a letter in the mail inviting me to get my biometrics done. The appointment was originally scheduled for 10/01/2008 but I wanted to try to save some time and get the ball rolling early, so I walked in to see if they had time to see me (about 16 days before my original appointment date).
I came on a Monday, 8 AM, there were about 4-5 people there waiting (not busy at all! did I just get lucky?). I checked in with the officer who took my appointment letter said she was going to ask them if they had time to see me and gave me a sheet to fill out and told me they were going to call my name. The sheet contained basic information, SS#, height, weight, address, and receipt numbers for my cases (make sure you have those! They are on the appointment letter but she the officer took mine -so I was glad that I also had the NOA's on hand). Also, bring a pen.
They called my name about 20 mins after I got t... read complete review
