We had the AOS interview on 4/20/2009.
The waiting room was pretty packed but we were called only a few minuites late for our appointment time.
The IO was a young woman, who was very friendly.
She escorted us to her office, and then the interview started with both of us together in the same room.
First, she asked us to raise the right hand to swear.
The questions we were asked were more like reviewing application.
IO asked legal name, address, those kind of info to both of us, then to me (beneficially), those "NO" questions like if I have joined terrorist activity etc.
Then asked us if we have any other supporting documents, so we showed the very recent tax documents, my husband's(petitioner, USC) pay stub, all insurance documents under his name which covers me too, lease agreement, and most recent bank statement.
We gave her pictures too but she didn't realy go through those.
Then she told us to wait here while she checked some stuff, which took about 5 min.
After she came back with apologizy for making us wait, she gave us 2 sheets of paper.
1 was the paper that asking to submit the chest X-ray after baby is born (I am 36-week pregnant), and family registry in Japanese (I submitted only in English...wouldn't think they want to check in Japanese).
The other paper is simply explaining what to do in 2 yrs to remove condition since we have been married less than 2 yrs.
She congrats me and took I-94.
I don't know she forgot or not supposed to, but she didnt ask my EAD or AP.
My husband asked her back to make sure I got approved and she said she just wants those 2 things before they issue the real card.
Overall, I think she was very nice, everything went very smoothly and she was also very polite too.
