My interview was at 8 AM and we arrived about an hour before (better safe than sorry). The building was still closed so we went to get some coffee.
Came back around 7:50, went through security and checked in.
We were called exactly at 8 AM. The interviewer was not too chatty but not unfriendly either. Was very to the point. Did ask my husband maybe two questions (the petitioner)
Most of the interview was about me, asking my bio dates, date of entry, what I did during my stay here, about school, work, etc. Asked where are my parents. Also about what I did in my home country. Looked at our passports, and at husbands citizenship certificate. Looked at our sons birth certificate. Kept my I-94. Confirmed current and previous address. During all that we mentioned that we met on line. I don't remember if she asked that or it just came out in our conversation. Asked if any of us was married before, we said no. Never asked about anything else pertain... read complete review

My Naturalization interview lasted just over an hour. I think I was surprised as to the depth of scrutiny my documents received. I shouldn't have been but this was the only interview aside from the one for k-1 that I had received in the process. The officer was polite but firm and I never knew until the very last second that things were okay and I was to be approved, then he warmed up considerably and his countenance changed, My oath date was assigned to me that day for the following week.
Bring extra evidence to support your cohabitation. . I needed it. He asked specifically to see our health cards that listed our address and us on the policy together. I didn't have it but I did have car insurance papers and the registration to our car which he accepted.
The only other note I'd add was to make sure you leave extra time for parking. The nearest garage I could find was in the financial one building a few blocks away and I had to park on the 8th floor... read complete review

We arrived at the Hartford CT, USCIS office at 1:40 pm (2 pm interview). We went through security, and were pointed in the direction of the adjustment of status interview area. There were at least 15 people in the office. We were called right on time by a lady calling my name.
We followed the lady into a small office room that was personable with three seats. Before we sat down she asked that we raise our right hands and swear that all the statements we will make are true.
We went ahead and sat down and she asked for our IDs. We handed over both of our CT driver's licenses. Then she asked for our passports. She removed my I-94 card that was fastened in my passport. She then asked how long we have been together and we stated, 5 years. She then says, I thought I noticed that you two met in the Bahamas? We then stated that what she asked was true. She went into asking us if we were long distance and that she guessed it wasn't always true that spring break fli... read complete review
