Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

The interview was very easy flowing.
The questions were asked very clearly and the interview included me as the wife also. We were asked a few questions about our life in the states and how we met. We answered all the questions and were on our way.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We parked across the street in the garage for the ease of it. We paid $8 for a couple hours and it was worth it; we figured at this point what's another 8 bucks right? We arrived 45 minutes early in the office (our appointment was on a Friday at 12:45) and the receptionist took my appointment letter and we took a seat. You're allowed phones so killing 45 minutes was no big deal. There were 4 other people waiting and it was relaxed.

We were assigned to officer Koonz who was very nice and very sharp. He joked a bit with us throughout but when he asked us questions he was very serious and looked directly at you. He asked us various questions that you'd be able to easily answer if you were in a legitimate relationship such as where do you live (he was familiar with the area and asked us what was around there too), what are your spouse's parents names and when did you see them last? Does your spouse work? Where? He asked me (the beneficiary) for my birth certificate, and this... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

My husband and I went to the GC interview this past Friday. It went very well, and we were basically approved on the spot.

The interview time was scheduled at 10:30a. We arrived 15 minutes early, and waited for about 30 mins before my name was called. There were quite a few people in the waiting area before us, and most of them were still there by the time we were leaving.

Our interview was conducted by a very friendly lady, and another male officer who was sitting in the back of the office taking notes. She had the whole application package I submitted in front of her, verified my husband and I's personal information while browsing through. She also took our passports at the beginning of the interview, but returned them at the end.

The questions we were asked were: how did you first meet? When did you start dating? Had you lived together before marriage? What is your plan after getting the green card (we currently are living apart due to... read complete review

Our appointment was at 9.30am and we arrived around 9am to get through security and locate the room. Our lawyer accompanied us to the interview, however this is not necessary but allowed. We were called around 9.40am into a room together and we had officer Rogers and another officer who was training in the room with us. We took the oath and were informed of the recording. Officer Rogers was a really down to earth lady and chatted with us about different things throughout the interview other than her questions - we both felt quite relaxed with her given the stressful circumstances.
The interview lasted about 15 minutes and she went through the I-130 questions like name, address, DOB, parents names etc. and all the questions in the I-485 Yes/Nos. She also asked my husband some simple demographics, where he worked, children, previous marriages etc. The following were the questions she asked us as a couple:
- How did you meet?
- Why did you decide to get married?
