Eaaaassssyyyyy :P
Everything went smoothly, everyone was very nice, i was asked 3 questions:how did you meet? are you going to live with your fiance? what do you want to do over there?
Also don`t worry about the long wait everybody talks about, you can leave the embassy after the interwiew and return to pick up your passport.I left and returned at the time they told me to pick it up, i just wasnt gonna sit on a chair for 2 hours doing nothing )

We were allowed in the embassy 5 minutes before 1PM and we finally came out after 4PM. When we got inside we had the biometrics taken, then a nice lady (Romanian) took my documents, and I signed everything in front of her. She was very kind. When she saw the docs we had prepared for the affidavit of support, she said our lawyer really worked a lot to prepare everything. I told her we prepared everything by ourselves! She was really impressed and said they were very meticulous. (Thank you VJ!)
After that, I paid the fees, 1400 USD for all four of us. (We're bringing my three kids, too, 14, 10 & 7.) We then went on to the interview with an American Consulate Officer. The kids and I took an oath to swear to tell the truth. She asked the kids in Romanian if they know my fiance and if they wanted to go to America to live with him. Then the kids were told they could sit, and we continued the interview.
She asked about my fiance, his job, his house, how many ... read complete review

My appointment was for 1 pm and I got there at 12.30. We were in at 1 and were guided towards window 5 where the Romanian pre-screener took my passport and told me to wait. After a few minutes I was called for fingerprinting and then again at window 5 to leave all the needed docs: the affidavit, the supporting documents, proofs of relationship etc. At this stage, I was done in less than 1 hour.
2 windows were open for interviews, but suddenly, around 3 pm, a new window opens up and my name is called. It was the same Consular Officer that had granted me the tourist visa last October and I could tell he was called especially for my interview, as after I was done he closed the window and the rest of the people were interviewed at the 2 windows that were originally open.
I felt the CO was prejudiced about our case, which intimidated me a bit. He kept asking me if I \"can explain THAT\", \"THAT\" being the age difference between my fiance and I, the fact I have... read complete review

I got there around 12, and by 1 we were all in. The security guys were all "you marrying a foreigner huh?" but I honestly could not care less.. After 3 years of long distance relationship, 2 tourist visas denied and many many lonely heart songs... I was there. The Romanians were nice enough, I had the impression they would be rude, following some reviews I read.. The longest thing was the wait. Somehow I ended up being last at the interview, I had been there for around 2:30 hrs and I was still waiting, hearing other people talk, listening in on their questions. Finally, I had my interview with a young blond American (the same who denied my tourist visa a year before) and it went smooth. At a certain point, after a few very nice, calm and haha-hihi questions she changed tone and suddenly asked me "so, i didn't get this right, when was the last time you saw your fiance?" I think it was meant to intimidate me, because I had already told her I had seen him a couple of weeks before, for my ... read complete review
