I got there around 12, and by 1 we were all in. The security guys were all "you marrying a foreigner huh?" but I honestly could not care less.. After 3 years of long distance relationship, 2 tourist visas denied and many many lonely heart songs... I was there. The Romanians were nice enough, I had the impression they would be rude, following some reviews I read.. The longest thing was the wait. Somehow I ended up being last at the interview, I had been there for around 2:30 hrs and I was still waiting, hearing other people talk, listening in on their questions. Finally, I had my interview with a young blond American (the same who denied my tourist visa a year before) and it went smooth. At a certain point, after a few very nice, calm and haha-hihi questions she changed tone and suddenly asked me "so, i didn't get this right, when was the last time you saw your fiance?" I think it was meant to intimidate me, because I had already told her I had seen him a couple of weeks before, for my B-Day. I answered very calmly and smiling. Then she smiled and said "everything looks OK here, we'll have to look into a few things and then you should be good." Overall, a nice enough experience, but I had my stomach in a knot the whole time. I guess it's just normal. Got my visa immediately. javascript:emoticon('')
