Arrived at 7:45am for the 8am interview. No cell phones, batteries or liquids allowed, including gatorade. Then they asked me to sit down and a nice girl called me to window #14, asking for passport and form 156, then sit down. Then after waiting an hour, they called me to window #10 where a girl asked me for all the rest of the paper work. She asked me about our relaionship, where we met, but she just filled out a form on her computer. She asked me about my past visas, trips and travels, then sit down again for 2 hours more.
Then they called me to office 15 and there was a guy, who asked me to interview in english or spanish? The whole interview was in english.
Where did we meet? how did we meet? Don't you think he's too old for you?! what do you do for a living? how many visits? ect...He gave me a yellow paper that said I need to send my passport back with the taxes of my fiance; then they will check my finger prints and face with something ... read complete review

Arrived at 7:45am for 8:15am interview. Called to first window at 8:15am. We were asked for her passports. Sat down for a few minutes. Called to another window asked for the rest of our papers(Affidavit of support, tax paper...). A few questions were ask to my fiancee(How we met, When I proposed...). We sat down again. We were then called to room 15. My fiancee's finger prints were taken. The girl who gave the interview seemed to be new. She was asking someone else questions about what she needed to do. She asked my fiancee again when we met and how. She asked more but they were in Spanish which I don't understand. I was only ask when I first came to Peru and how many time I came back. We did not have the document "CERTIFICADO JUDICIAL DE ANTECEDENTES PENALES". We applied for it, but was not ready in time for the interview. We were told to mail it in later with the passports and the visa would be processed. At 9:30am we were in the taxi headed home. The document and passports were mail... read complete review

We arrived at 7:30AM on January 17,2008 and there was already a line of people waiting at the Embassy. (Our Appointment was at 8:15AM) There was a man with a clipboard going around asking what was your purpose at the embassy.
We explained we had our K3 interview at 8:15AM and was given a ticket with a number 8 on it. We only waited a couple minutes and was called to window 10. Basically, the people at the embassy only spoke to my husband. At window 10 he was asked for his identification and passports. Then was told to have a seat. Then we were called to window 14 and was asked for the Affidavit of support, my taxes, (only requested tax return for 2006.) DS-157 and DS-230. The person at the window only wanted to speak to my husband and told me to have a seat. Which was fine by me but, I don't understand why the American spouse is highly recommend for the Interview.
Anyway, when my husband was finished at window 14 we sat down and waited to be called back into another room... read complete review

Well we had our interview on December the 3rd, 2007. I arrived into Lima on the night of the 2nd and we were all excited. We showed up at 8:00am for our 8:45 interview(which was the last interview time for K-1 Visa that day) we finally got into the embassy at 9:00am and we were called up to the first window at 9:40am. After talking with the lady behind the glass partition, she told us we were missing a form for my Fiancee's daughter, so we ran across the street and got onto the hotels computer and filled out the proper form but unfortunately the front desk cleck printed out the wrong version of the form. We went back to the embassy and we were told we needed the correct print out of the form, so we went back to start all over again. After we had the right version, everyone stopped working at the embassy at 10:00am we waited until about 3:00pm for our interview, because we had the last interview time, we had the last interview of the day. They also had a bunch of student and work... read complete review

I will give 2 ratings here based on my personal experience. The first would be the packet instructions and material, the second part would be the actual interview process at the embassy on the day of the interview.
The packet was sent electronically to Lima on 11/09/2007, and the embassy completed initial processing on 11/13/2007. Starting about a week later, Angie (my wife) and I called the embassy twice a week checking on the status, and were told each time to wait longer, nothing was sent, etc...On 12/04/2007, we find out through a phone call they "forgot" to send Angie the packet, and her interview was on 12/12/2007, so we really had to scramble to get everything together and all the papers in order. She picked up the packet on 12/04/2007, and in the meantime, the embassy sent her two packets that she received in the mail on 12/07/2007 and 12/08/2007. That is when we realized that the packet they gave her at the embassy was the wrong one (it was for the IR-1/CR-1 vis... read complete review
