Had my interview today (December 8th 2014 @ 1PM)

Arrive around 12:20pm with my husband (The USC) was told to leave and come back at 12:50pm, we went across to the cafe called (Embassy Grill) had a coffee and then went back to the Embassy.

We were asked who was being interviewed, what type of Visa and then proceeded trough the airport style security. I had a minimal amount of things in my purse which included earphones, they took my keys, phone, earphones and lip balm and put them in a small locker and gave me the key. They allowed me to keep my purse with me and my folder of documents.

Was sent up a ramp to the building itself and was greeted by a very nice security officer, he asked again what visa type, immigrant or non-immigrant, we went sent to the immigrant waiting side. There were only 2 other people waiting so it went fairly quick. Got called up to the first window after waiting 10 minutes or so, asked for my medical results, passpo... read complete review

Had my K1 Visa interview on Monday, November 10th at 1pm.

I drove up to Dublin and parked on a side street, just to the left of the front entrance of the Embassy. Plenty of on street parking for 2.90 an hour. I threw 5 euro into the machine and made my way to the entrance at 12.45pm.

You need to approach the front window entrance and state the reason you are there (Visa Interview). You will then be granted access to the security area. Security screening is similar to airport screening - I had left everything I didn't need in the car so I just had my car keys and paperwork.

Once through security you make your way to the Embassy building itself where you will receive a number and wait to be called. I was called to three separate windows in the following order:
1) To submit passport, original birth cert, medical cert, Garda Cert and Affidavit of Support
2) To submit postal order as payment
3) The final interview where the i... read complete review

I had my appointment for 1pm, arrived at the embassy at 12:45pm no line, and went straight into the embassy. Was given a number and waited about 15mins to be called, gave the postal order with the Visa fee, and sat down again. After about 10 mins was called up again, the initial consulate person asked for my documentation, she asked for a tax return from 2013, which I did not have, she said the case would be suspended until it was provided but I was to sit and wait and a consulate official who would talk to me. After a further wait of about 15mins, I was called up to be interviewed. The consular official this time, asked some questions, where we met, where we will live, asked to see the additional information about the relationship, photos, emails, timeline and list of all the times we met. He said the tax returns were not required, we'd supplied enough information. I swore an oath and that was it. Time taken about 50 mins. The interview was quick, and the official who interviewed me w... read complete review

My appointment was at 1pm. I did not know that part of Dublin well and took a wrong turn! Parking is not easy to find when under a time constraint. I eventually parked in the Royal Dublin Society car park.

I got through security OK and the security guy was very friendly - they saw I was a bit flustered. Leave your phone in the car and expect to hand over everything except the paperwork and your wallet. They will not take electronics but will allow you to store small items - keys etc in a locker at the security gate. You will be put through a detector before being given a tag for your arm and admitted to the main building.

I picked a number and waited about an hour before being called to present my paperwork. The lady I spoke to was polite and business-like. It turned out that we had used the wrong affidavit of support form but otherwise it was fine.

I paid the fee in USD cash which I had obtained in the Post Office. I understand that they wi... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Had interview on a monday at 1pm. Whole process only took 1 hour. Was called up to pay the visa fee and hand in all the required documents. 15 minutes later was called again for the interview. They let me the petitioner stay at the window for the interview. He asked us when we met, where we met, and when we became romantically "intangled", when we got engaged, and what my fiancee planned to do for work once we returned to the states. Then he asked if we had any other proof and we showed him a photo album/scrap book and walked him through a few of the pictures until we came to one with us on a dinner date where I had bought my fiancee a lobster and the interviewing officer said well if you bought her a lobster dinner then it must be serious. we all laughed and he said he had seen enouph and will go ahead and issue the visa. The actual interview lasted only about five minutes and after months of stressing about it it was incredibly easy.
