Embassy interview, phone interview, and home interview were all terrible experience for my husband, in Delhi. My husband and I met in India, his home, had a short courtship, it was love at first sight, he proposed after three weeks, and we married after only three months, and I am half-American, so, naturally, I want my husband to come to America and meet my family. I was not with my husband for his interview, big mistake. Consulate, agents always questioning how long and well he knows me and details of my and his religious heritage, anything they can pick apart, they did. Agents were very rude, unfair, did not speak to my husband in his native language Hindi, confused him in english speaking too rapidly, they questioned my handwriting, on cards and letters, they told him some fake name of mine and swore they knew private information about me; needless to say, they denied my husband\'s visa. They said we married just for immigration which is bullcrap. My husband and I marri... read complete review

Hi,
My interview went good today . visa was approved. Here's my interview experience:
As i live closeby I started from home at 8.15am n reached 8.25am ....got there really 30 minutes before n stood in a line with appointment letter n passport n other docs...thats all i was carrying..no purse /bag ,nothing...as i entered,,,, i went thru the security check..very smooth...went inside a hall where they gave me a white token J26 (i didn’t knew all i have to do is to wait for this token number to appear on counters there for most of the time ...thats all ya do there...wait wait n wait for token number to appear.) so i reached sharp 9am (my appointment time)...so at 10.30 am They called my number and i went to the counter 29 for pre-screening of docs where an Indian man took my pending docs (birth certificate n medical report) and my fingerprints. He got the vfs package n started to return me the original docs ( i was returned everything original / a... read complete review

Interview date 11th May 2010. I , the US citizen husband, accompanied my wife.
Stayed overnite at the Hyatt, which is abt 15 minutes drive from the consulate. Left the hotel at 8 am for our 8 45 am interview. Small line of people waiting to get in. The security guards asked if we were there for an Immigrant Visa. Went through security and once we got past through it my wife was given a token number and we both went inside and were finally in the comfort of an air conditioned building. ( You just can`t help but feel sorry for all the non immigrant visa applicants , who are made to sit outside under a shed with a few lousy fans till they are called inside for their interview. )
Anyways, once inside, my wife had her fingerprints done. For that you dont have to wait for your number to display on the board. After the fingerprints , we were sent to the far side of the hall , where they have a small area marked " Immigrant visa applicants". Waited for her number ... read complete review

Visa wasn't granted. Issued 221-G and asked for more info on relationship.
Here's everything down to detail:
I reached India on Dec 26th. I met my fiancee on Dec 29th. We got engaged on Jan 15th. I came back to US on Jan 29th.
All paperwork was perfect. No issues.
In July, my fiancee went to Mumbai consulate for interview. They made her nervous right from the beginning. Asking her questions like interrogating criminal. My fiancee asked for an interpreter and they provided some jerk who was making her life more difficult instead of helping her.
Their main objection was, why I didn't marry my fiancee when I stayed for at least a month in India. They asked her if parents and siblings of both of us were present in engagement. My fiancee said yes. That's all they needed to hear. They thought that my real intention was to commite fraud by bringing my fiancee to US. Consulate ppl didn't believe anything m... read complete review
