Review Topic: K1 Visa

Our Interview appointment was at 9:45am and we got there at around 9:10am.
There was a small line outside the entrance but it wasn't too bad. After showing them the interview appointment confirmation page and our passports,
we got my number and a visitor card for my fiance from window 1 (it didn't matter which window, there was only one line at the time).
After that we had to go through security.
After passing that, we had to go through a courtyard to the next building where a receptionist guided us to the first window, which was the cashier. (window 22). Since the fees were already paid, the lady at the window took my passport and told us to find a seat and wait for our number to be called up.
After the number was called up, we had to go to a different window (21), where another lady took fingerprints, checked personal data from the ds-160 before she explained the procedure and also showed us how the sealed package looks like.
After some more... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview appointment was scheduled for 07.45 and I got there a little after 7 am. After 45 minutes I had already given them my passport and a consulate employee explained the whole visa again, checked that my name, DOB, etc was still right and took my fingerprints.
I had to wait for exactly 1 hour till I finally had the interview.
The lady asked me 4 questions after I had to swear that I'll tell the truth:
How did you meet?
Is he still in the army?
What is his job?
How did he propose?
Then she told me: your visa got approved
Everyone was really nice and helpful!

Nothing real different to report, the people very extremely friendly. They asked 3 questions (where we met, wedding plans, and if I met my fiancée in Germany). They took my passport and said in about a week I should get the visa and sealed envelope with documents via post. I stayed at a nearby hotel and walked about a block to make it easier. All together it was easy and I'm glad it's over, I was so nervous.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I think I cannot add much to the previous reviews. I just want to say that the people are very nice. I arrived at 7.10 (my interview was at 7.45). Luckily I was the first person in line and I was called as the first person to get my number and enter the embassy. So for me there were no waiting times. I walked through security, from there into the next building where at the counter they sent me to the cashier (counter no 22). I had already paid and sent everything in so there was nothing to do for me. Second I got to a nice officer who talked with me in german, explaining the K1 visa and that I should not open the sealed envelope once I get it. Next was the interview for which I had to wait for about 20min. In the embassy, behind the counters, they are all looking very informal (wearing sweaters) only some are in uniforms. This helped me a lot to relax! I think most important is to be polite and confident. My interview was about 5min (max.). I got informed that it is approved and that i... read complete review
