Very good and easy-going interview. We got to the USCIS office, went through security, and went upstairs to the second floor. We put our appointment notice in the drop at the window and sat down. We waited about a half hour. My wife's name was called and we went to an office where the woman reviewed our documents and asked some questions. We first took an oath. Then she went over the I-485 and verified name, address, and other information. After that, she read the 1 1/2 page story that I wrote about how my wife and I met, which I originally sent in with the I-129F Fiancee Visa application. She then asked me to tell her how we met in order to check consistency with my writing. She asked about the date we met and kept wanting more and more details about the night we met. She asked when I saw her again after that. She asked my wife when she went back to Mexico again and then asked me when I came to visit her in Mexico. After that, she said we should get the green card in about... read complete review

Well my interview was scheduled @ 10:15 and we reached at 10 and waited outside the building for my attorney. Well he came in on time and we went upstairs on the 2nd floor. And my attorney checked us in. In a couple minutes my name was called and I was greeted by a very nice IO and she showed us the way to her office. My attorney was astonished and asked her that she usually doesnt do the initial green card interviews to which she replied that she found my case very interesting so she wanted to conduct the interview and said she did her homework pretty well.
She started off by asking us to take the oath and then the first question she asked me was does your wife have you on her medical insurance and I said yes and she asked for a proof. And then she asked when and on what basis did I come to the states and some interogating questions because she learned through my file that I was a pilot so she had too many questions on why and how and where did I train and did I graduat... read complete review

My wife(applicant) and I(USC sponsor) had a very easy experience with the Sacramento office. We arrived about a half hour early however it was unnecessary. The agents are assigned a schedule of interviews each lasting a half hour so everyone is at the mercy of the prior interviews.
I think parking at the downtown plaza mall would have been the easiest. At the door of the office building is a metal detector/security check. They will not allow any phone that has a camera so just leave it in your car.
The only odd thing was that once we arrive in the proper office on the second floor, the check-in desk appeared closed (the blinds were down over the window). In the window was a little not say "drop interview notices in the tray and please wait". It was likely that most people didn't notice the sign because once I place my notice (in the empty tray) about half the room came up and did the same. It felt odd abandoning the precious document we have held so importa... read complete review

My husband and I had a great experience with the local Sacramento USCIS office in adjusting his status. We were 15 minutes early but there was a large crowd in the lobby - I don't think being early made any difference, though, because we were still called in at around 1:30.
We were very nervous because we heard so many stories about how they were going to grill us for minute details (color of husband's underwear, asking husband where wife keeps the towels, etc) so we were expecting some intense questions.
A white man in his 40s called our name and we entered his office. He quickly made us take the oath of truth and we sat down. While he pulled out our file, my husband cracked a couple jokes to ease the tension. I think it worked really well
He reviewed my husband's AOS application to ensure that there were no changes. We made a change - added his SSN, which he got after we submitted the AOS application. Sign and d... read complete review
