We went today for our interview at Federal Plaza for my husbands AOS. (1yr and 7 mos after filing). My appointment was for 1:10pm and we were there 10 minutes early and went through security pretty quickly. I did have an attorney with us because my husband and I married after the 90 days on a K1 visa and I was worried there might be more of a problem than normal. My attorney had wisely mentioned we should wait for her prior to going to the window to check in (i saw many people who went separately as soon as they arrived, which caused som confusion for all parties). We checked in and she let them know we would need a Spanish interpreter (for my husband, since he is not 100% fluent). We sat down and it was 2.20 hours before they called us in. We overheard one woman employee mention to another couple that there was a delay with interpreters, so I am not sure if that was why we were waiting so long. Our attorney checked in to let them know that we were still waiting and soon after... read complete review

my wife interview was at 9:15 at 26 Federal Plaza on the 9th floor. We arrive early around 8:50 at the entrance. I brought a translator just in case for any miscommunication however I found out later that It was not needed. I will get back to that in just a minute. We got to the 9th floor and check in with someone at the front window. She gave back my interview notice letter and a paper that directed us to the 4th floor. I then check in with another representative at the window. Ask me question if I had a attorney. I said no. He then asks if I had a translator. I said yes but then look at me and told me that won’t be needed and we will provide one for you. He gave me a waiting slip and we sat down and waited to be called by our interview officer (IO). 30 minutes pass and then we were called in. I raise my hand as the officer connected his eyes on my wife and I as we got up and approach him. Our IO asks us if the names on the interview notice were... read complete review

IO was very friendly and the conversation was extremely relaxed. He looked over our original documents and took a couple of additional photographs of us with our families, our most recently filed tax return and W2s, and copies of our shared credit card statement.
The IO asked me the usual questions then said I could expect to receive my greencard in 2-4 weeks. The next day my online status had been updated to "New Card Is Being Produced".
