Easy interview, USCIS officer was pleasant. He only asked us how did we meet... we answered the question and that was it!

We arrived at 7.15am for a 7.30am appointment. I was surprised to be the first to arrive.
We were therefore seen first. Called to a window to show my EAD card, which I suppose they did not have a number for.
Shortly before 8am we were called in by an older gentleman who was polite without being overly friendly.
He asked us a couple of challenging questions about income and names on leases/bills, expressing his concern, but our answers were legit and understandable. A weird question was "tell me about your husband/wife", which was a little open-ended and felt hard to answer.
After about 15mins he suggested as he half-turned away that we he could probably approve it, which was about as anticlimactic as you can get given the full year and thousands of Dollars this process has taken, but all's well that ends well. We were out by 8.10am and while we should be excited, relief is certainly the dominant emotion.

We interviewed last week at the Detroit USCIS office.
My wife, who came into the USA on a K1 visa, and I checked in. We came alone without an interpreter or attorney. Her name was called and we followed the officer into his office. Before sitting down, we raises our right hands and swore to tell the truth.
We sat down and he looked through our file noting that she arrived legally on a K1 visa and that we got married within 90 of her entry and that everything looked good. He then asked us the various "have you ever..." questions in the i485 to which she answered "no" each time. He then asked about our jobs and we had a nice conversation about that. Then he said, "I'm going to grant your status" and told us that we should receive her conditional green card in 7-10 business days.
He instructed us what evidence we need to collect for the removal of conditions which we need to apply for within 90 days of expiration date of her conditio... read complete review

My interview was on Nov 20th 2013 at 12:50pm. By that time my husband and I had been married for about 3 1/2 years. Our lawyer had already told us that Detroit is one of the best places to go for an interview since they are very easy. It is however 3 1/2 hrs away from our home. We arrived about 20min early. The security personnel were friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk had a little bit of an attitude though. We waited for about 30-40min and were called in to the interview. The Immigration officer was very friendly. He is a retired marine (i think) officer. He said he was 54 years old. He swore us in and asked me the necessary questions he has to ask like "If i am a part of Taliban, Irish republic army, etc. I think that is part of the swearing routine. The only personal questions he asked us was how long we have been married and if we have any children. Then he granted my status! He did not even ask to see any of the documents we had brought. It must h... read complete review

Our interview went very well and quicker than we had anticipated. The officer we met who interviewed us was very professional and courteous during the interview. Overall, the interview was a very satisfying culmination to my adjustment of status process, and i was granted approval for a Conditional Permanent Residency at the end of the interview.
