I had my biometrics in Charlotte today.
If you come from the Asheville area, the Mapquest driving directions aren't fully correct. When you go from I-85 to the Billy Graham Parkway stay on it, don't turn until you see the street to the local office.
I had a bit of a hard time locating Chastain Ave because the sign was hidden by a tree branch... It's right on the opposite side of a Citigo gas station though. Once on that street, the building is on your left. Plenty of parking spots and no need to pay for it I was 20 minutes early.
I came in and gave the lady my appointment letter and ID card, good thing I also had my marriage license since I haven't been able to change my name on any of those. She gave me a paper to fill in with name, the USCIS numbers, physical description, etc. Then I waited in line to get my number, an other lady checked my papers and told me to sit down.
I waited for a while, after about 45 minutes a lady at t... read complete review

Very prompt. Seated for less than 5 minutes before the interview. Interviewer was very direct and professional yet quite courteous. First requested documents (EAD, AP, Passport, and Birth certificate) Asked the standards questions whether she committed any of the disqualifying activities. Followed up with asking about how we met. Dropped a hint we'd be approved by asking what name she wants on the card (maiden or married). Next asked to see supporting documentation. We provided lease agreement, bank account, brokerage account, joint return. Finally asked if we had any photographs. Looked through several sets of pictures asking some questions such as "Did your parents come for the wedding in India" "Can people enter the Taj Mahal" etc. Finally stated we were approved and stamped wife's passport right in front of us. Asked if we have any questions, which I then used to ask her about filing to have conditions removed.
Total interview time: ~10 minutes

Had my biometrics in Charlotte, NC on January 30, 2007. Finding the place is easy enough and the building is well labeled. I arrived early and there was no security guard (i overheard someone say he had to leave early once i was seated). I showed the lady at the front desk my appointment letter, passport and my marriage certificate as it has my married name unlike my passport. She was nice and handed me a clipboard with an A4 piece of paper. So i sat down and filled in the details. Just the usual info, A number, personal details etc.
Then i got up and waited in a line to receive a number. I waited for about 20 minutes before my number came up on a screen and the person who was free stood there waiting for me to come up and get my paperwork. I had a nice young woman and she did my fingerprints (seems like they do a whole lot of sets) and then i sat down and a photo was taken. Pretty easy stuff. Then once it was done she handed me a yellow comment card to place in a box.

March 2 - 2:15PM my husband I showed up at 2:10 for our interview for him to get his green card. We were asked what we were there for and presented the letter w/ our interview time and directed to a room. The staff seemed very friendly, coming into the room to check w/ people on stuff. We weren't quite sure we were in the right room so we stopped one man and asked and he was very patient and listened and said yes, we were in the right place.
I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes to have our name called. However to our left was a couple who I think I know (friends of friends) who had been there since 8:15 that morning and apparently missed hearing their name and were up the creek - the officer said if someone had time, they would interview them, but when we left around 3, they were in the parking lot so we're not sure what happened. Moral: Listen closely!!! It's a big room w/ a loud TV.
Anywhere, I can't remember the name of the woman who interviewed... read complete review
