Had my biometrics in Charlotte, NC on January 30, 2007. Finding the place is easy enough and the building is well labeled. I arrived early and there was no security guard (i overheard someone say he had to leave early once i was seated). I showed the lady at the front desk my appointment letter, passport and my marriage certificate as it has my married name unlike my passport. She was nice and handed me a clipboard with an A4 piece of paper. So i sat down and filled in the details. Just the usual info, A number, personal details etc.
Then i got up and waited in a line to receive a number. I waited for about 20 minutes before my number came up on a screen and the person who was free stood there waiting for me to come up and get my paperwork. I had a nice young woman and she did my fingerprints (seems like they do a whole lot of sets) and then i sat down and a photo was taken. Pretty easy stuff. Then once it was done she handed me a yellow comment card to place in a box.
Was easy and had no problems. Although, it says on the form that only the individual is allowed in the building on the appointment letter, i noticed alot of people were sitting with their family members??
My husband and his family waited outside as we all planned to go to lunch afterwards so i felt bad that they had to wait outside but they were fine as it was a really nice sunny day.
