My husband's AOS interview was scheduled for 10:30 AM, and we arrived at 10:03 AM. All of the staff we encountered were very nice, including the security checkpoint team at the entrance of the building. The building reminded me of a courthouse. The AOS interview was conducted on the 2nd floor. We waited and our number was called shortly before our appointment time (I recommend sitting closer to the entrance and not over by the windows; we sat by the windows and almost didn't hear the officer calling our number!).
Our CO escorted us to her office where she had my husband's file on her desk. She asked us to shut off our phones all the way, then we stood up and pledged to tell the truth. She asked us for some documentation (we had a binder prepared with originals and copies of all necessary documents): the appointment letter and our number, our passports and IDs, my husband's EAD, our lease agreement (with both our names), she verified our copy of our marriage certificate, and lat... read complete review

I went to Atlanta Field Office for my Adjustment of Status interview. My appointment was at 2:15pm. My husband and I came as early as 12pm but we were told not to come more than 30 mins early. So we headed down to the nearest Starbucks for a cup of coffee while waiting for time to pass. At 1:30pm, we drove back to the field office carpark, the carpark was quite full, I suggest to come early just in case. At entrance, we are supposed to show our government ID and to do a scan at the security. Mobile phones are allowed. I brought 6 files with me, K1 Visa copy, AOS copy, AOS updated file, Bills, lease agreements and other purchases, Educational Certs, Original Certs.
We then proceeded to the registration counter where we handed in the Notice of Action for AOS interview. The officer handed us back the Notice of Action with highlighted time to check in at Lvl 3.
After proceeding to Lvl 3, we had to wait for our time at 1:45pm to check in. The counter closes at... read complete review

My wife had her interview today 10/22/2015 at 2pm local time (ABJ).
She arrived one hour before the interview. They immediately ask her to come in. She submitted her documents. the CO asked about the Police Certificate that has expired. My wife answered that it was produced in March 2015, and was transmitted 14 days later to the NVC. The CO proceeded then with the questioning
Q1. How did we meet?
Q2. What is my profession?
Q3. When did we get married?
Q4. Has she ever attempted to get a visa to visit?
Q5. Would she have decided to settle in the US, if she was granted the visa?
Q6. Did she have kids with me?
Q7. Why she wanted to go to stay with me this time?
Q8. What number will she call in case of emergency? (9-1-1)
Then after he kept her passport and let her know he will call her.
The Wifey told me it was rather a pleasant interview. The CO was amazed on the length we have been knowing each ... read complete review

My appointment for BIOMETRICS was at 2pm. Arrived and went in (about 20 min early) leaving phone in car. Handed my appointment letter to same nice guy as last time (2011). They checked and stamped it. Handed me a clipboard with a form to fill out. I was one of first to fill out and hand it back to desk. Sat in chairs. Then they called me up and sent me to next set of chairs to wait with a number. My number was called right away. I was fingerprinted with their machines and all but one finger worked the first try. I was finished and in the parking lot again in about 20 min.

We had a very easy approval today. We had an 12:45pm appointment, and arrived at 12:15. We had to wait till about 12:45-1:00pm for our interview. She swore us in, confirmed my wife name / address. She asked when her last entry into the country, which was 2 days before. We got back from a cruise but they did not process her with her AP. She said that was normal with the cruises.
She asked her the questions in her I-485 form. She made copies of our drivers license and she asked that if we knew about the ROC in 2 years. We said yes, and got our txt that are green card was in production a couple hours after we left. She never looked at our paperwork that we brought.
We were in our interview in less than 10 minutes.
