Turned up at 6:50 for 8am interview only to find a queue had already formed in front of the Embassy! The security started to let us through at 7:30. It helped being there so early because I got the very first immigrant visa number 5000. It looks like all 5000 people were told the same thing, to wait around window 1 so when they started calling us, it was a bit of a track to get to windows 13 and 14. I was called up to window 13 around 8:10, 8:15. The first thing I was asked was whether I had my medical yet and when I said yes, she asked when since it still hasn't arrived here. My heart just sank after that. I was so disappointed because the Knightsbridge doctors’ definitely had enough time to deliver it. She was sooooo slow in checking everything and took good 5 minutes just getting all her stationary ready. Wasn't all that clued in either. At one point she said "there is no such thing as British Croatian" and I said I know but the question asked to list... read complete review

SO i had a 9am interview! but i decided to get there early and skip the que! Arrived at the embassy at 7 30 and was through security by 8am. As i qued up my dad decided he would wait around til i got in! but guess what happened he started to take pictures of me in the que! and he got asked by a police officer why he was taking pictures! lol so while i was going through security my dad had to persuade the officer he wasnt a terrorist HAHA
Any way i got to the main building and got my ticket. Number 5002 so it is well worth getting their early to jump the que! Once then i went into the waiting room which has all the interview booths on the right side and 4 big tv screens calling your number out! ITs very simple to follow so no need to worry.
After waiting about 30 mins i got called to window 1 and had to give them my finger prints and was asked for my passport, birth certificate, Police record, and affidavits! At window 1 was fei lei a small chinese woman, ... read complete review

had a long wait.
then i got called up after two hours. They want you to tick the box on the affidavit form, with I intend and give a reason. So we have to send the form back with a courier. HOwever she told us that we were approved. just be aware of that.

The long awaited interview that we all stress about was easy man. Fear nothing and don't go in there loaded with a rainforest of paperwork. Take what they ask for (with copies oviously) and anything you really feel you must take. I waited about 4 hours which was the worst part. I literally got seen for 15 mins in total from the first dude you see who takes your paperwork right up to the actual person who says yes or no. Not scary, not stressful, just plain boring waiting for your number to be called. It felt like I was waiting in the never ending cheese counter queue. My experience was pretty decent and the best thing was going to celebrate afterwards even though I had to send in additional documentation before getting my visa. DO NOT STRESS!

Interview Monday 20th April 2009....Well what can I say...relieved and disappointed at the same time. My husband is a U.S Citizen and we have been married for 18 months next month....known each other for 4 years....time has been spent visiting each other here and in the States, in all that time. I visited twice last year for 3 months at a time. We filed for the I-130 in November and the K3 in January when I returned to the UK....we decided that whichever was the faster, I would leave the country on. In March both petitons were approved....but as our attorneys told us the K3 would be faster we stuck with that one, and the I-130 is on hold till I adjust status. I travelled down to London on the 19th April, and stayed in a hotel overnight so I could do a trial run and make sure I was on time for my 9.00am appointment. I arrived around 7.50am to find around 20 people already waiting outside I was as nervous as hell, but within 30 ... read complete review
