This was the second visit to the london US Embassy for me, the first time around it was for my K1 visa interview, this was a very bad experience for me personally as I had an interview with a young woman around 24 with an obvious chip on her shoulder, both my Fiancee (at the time) and myself had both been married before a couple of times, this woman made comments about how this must be true love as we have been married several times between us, she tried to upset me and get a angry reaction, which I did not respond to, she was very abrupt and gave me a refusal notice with a smile.
So you can imagine my anguish when I had to go back to the Embassy after getting married and applying for a K3 visa, our visa now requires a waiver of extreme hardship to overcome the 2 points that they have against me, a crime of moral turpitude and for not ticking the box on the visa waiver form on my visits to the USA now they have added immigration fraud... For anyone attending a visa interview in London, my 1st piece of advice would be - go to the US EMBASSY LONDON website and watch their YouTube information video 'Attending a Non-Immigrant Visa Interview'. This will give you a very good idea what to expect, and I strongly urge you all to do this. The video can be found here - http://www.usembassy.org.uk/youtube/index.html. Otherwise here's my personal account of what happened on my own Interview day...
I was a little anxious to be honest and had been for a couple of days running up to the big day. My interview appointment was scheduled for 8am, and after a sleepless night and a very early wake up, I arrived at the London Embassy in Grosvenor Square just after 7am. It was still dark... luckily I'd missed the earlier rain and it was dry - but do make sure you bring a small umbrella or coat as you will be waiting outside for a while.

Interview scheduled for 9.30am
I arrived at Gould's Pharmacy at 8:30am. They stored my MacBook, 2 iPods (don't ask), keys, USB cable & my mobile phone, ALL for just £3!! Bargain!
The Embassy security system has changed vastly since I last here in 2006 & 2007, seems much more efficient....
I joined the queue for Visas, and with Only 3 people ahead of me it was already looking good. Within a few minutes I was through security, past reception and inside the waiting area. It took only approx 20 minutes before I was called to Window 13, was my luck about to end? lol. After being asked for my Police certificate, FULL birth certificate and a USA sized mugshot I was instructed to pay the $131 fee at the next window TIP!!! Pay in cash to get the best rate!!

I travelled down the night before, my interview was on Tuesday 6th Oct, got a flight to Luton Airport(was the cheapest)off flight on to waiting but to the Parkway for the train into London, half an hour away, arrived at St.Pancras station and walked to the hotel i had booked which was just across the road from the station, it was nothing swanky just cheap, would only be there for one night,found it on www.londontown.com.
Ok, made my way to the Embassy stopping off at the Pharmacy to leave my cell phone(£4) which you dont get back,my appointment was at 0930 so i arrived at 0830, at the outside of the building you have to show your letter of appointment for them to tick you off their sheet for the day to allow you to pass to security, again which is outside the building, once past here you are directed to the main reception door where you show your letter again and they give you a pink sheet and a barcode with a number on it. you make your way up a flight of stairs to the main ha... read complete review

Hi, complicated time for us... We filed for a CR1/CR2 initially last year, or so we thought. Turns out we should have filed a separate I-130 for my 11 year old daughter. Did not realise this until after I-130 was approved. So we have a compassionate filing for my daughter, DCF, alongside my CR1.
I think it took several miracles that my daughter's papers were considered at the same interview as me. I had to hand in her I-864 things and submit documents, as well as going over my things. Daughter was only told she could be at the interview at 3pm on Friday. I had sooooo much paperwork with me.
So ! We had train tickets, and accomodation booked for both of us. My husband was coming over for the interview, so I knew she could be with him if she was not to be interviewed. (It counted as a separate case, so the below 14 rule did not apply. (Medical for her was added to mine cos I asked, a lot of begging along the way.) Anyways, appointment was for 9am.
