My fiance's interview was on 07-27-10 at 9:00 am. In short, it just took a lot of time for her to get to the first IO and then to the second IO but both of them were very polite. The interview lasted only a few minutes and was very conversational.

I believe as long as you have a genuine relationship, required documents & open to your partner/IO, you will not encounter any problems.

The only things my fiance was asked at the interview were:
(1) I-134
(2) Employment verification letter
(3) Pay stubs
(4) Her birth & police certificate
(5) They already had tons of boarding passes, hotel receipts, chat logs, emails, phone records that I sent with NOA1.

Overall, a very very positive experience.

My appointment was at 9.30am, I arrived about 9.00am, the line was quite short.
Well actually I arrived at 8am as I had gone early to get photos and store my phone at Gould's. I knew that was too early so went to Starbucks nearby.

The lady at the front of the line checked my letter and passport and asked me to take off my watch, bangles and belt. Then I went in the security room where my bags were scanned. I drank some of my water to prove it was safe. The people in there were very nice.

Once in the main door they gave me a number, and I sat down in the big waiting room nervously waiting for my number to pop up on the screen. I initially waited for 1 hour til I was called to a window. The woman was very unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable immediately. What does it cost to smile???
She asked for my passport, passport photos, birth certificate (where the fun starts...) My birth certificate was the wrong version. She was very rude and sai... read complete review

The interview itself was very short but we had to wait a little over two hours until our number was called only to find out we needed another police clearance. This delayed the visa about two weeks. We waited another hour to have our interview. Only two questions were ask at the interview, How did you meet and how long have you been married. We arrived at the embassy at 8:30am for a 9:00am appointment and finaly were finished about 1:30pm.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

hi all,

My CR-1 interview was on 14 may at US embassy, london. I had my medical done well in advance (3 weeks) so that there was ample time for the results to reach the embassy. I prepared/arranged all the documents which were mainly the interview letter, wedding pics, email's, all the correspondence letters that we have recieved since the start of the case, my bank statements, utility bills, employment proof and other similar stuffs.
Since I live in london so it wasnt a real hassle to commute as I knew the area well and reached the embassy well in advance by Tube.
Went inside the embassy, was handed a token number and was seated in a room full of people like me.
When my token number became current, went to the window and the guy asked me my passport. he handed me my medical result and took my fingerprints. Asked me to take the seat. I was again called and this time oo-la-laa two young ladies took my interview. They asked where my wife lived, what ... read complete review
