My husband had his interview yesterday at London and we were finally approved after 18 long months! All in all, he said it was not too bad of an experience. He showed up 30 minutes early and was let in. He did say that the one document that was repeatedly asked for was his DS-260 so very important to take that along. Also, there is no need to take photocopies. They will ask for what they need, take it away and scan it. He said the guy at the first desk was very grumpy and negative, making him feel like there was some kind of issue. He went and sat back down for 15 minutes, stressing the whole time, before being called to the second window where he was asked a few simple questions by a nice lady and approved. He said the time at each window was maybe 5 minutes. After the build up over the months, it all ends so quickly! Interview was yesterday at 10am and status has changed today to issued. Hope this helps and don't worry everyone ... YOU GOT THIS!!

After covid issues and a group mandamus lawsuit (consisting of 112 couples) the embassy finally decided to process and schedule interviews. The actually interview process went smoothly. Easy to workout where to go and what to do, and staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived about half an hour before my appointment, but didn't get seen until nearly an hour after my scheduled time. Lots of waiting - there were a couple of large families in front of me. After the first portion, where they check documents, I had to wait another half hour or so for the "interview". It's literally guy at a window (like in a bank) who asks a few questions and check a couple more things. 5 minutes at the most. At the end he says "all looks good, you can go" and that was it. Done.

Interview time 10.00am, advised by my lawyer to arrive 9.45am at the South Pavilion. Arrived in the area around 9am and went to the District Cafe across the street from the Embassy to wait until 9.45 - this is a great spot for coffee and food, lots of tables, toilet, kid friendly (as much as it needed to be)

Two lines at the South Pavilion (the entry point). One for US citizens which had a big line, and one for Visas (on the right) which had no line. First off go to the window on the far right hand side, with appointment and passports. Then security. There was no line for either of these. Then through and out the other side of security, into the embassy grounds. At this point look back and to the left - there's a crazy sky pool between two buildings! Anyway, reception desk who checked the paper and send us to the first floor with a sticker and number on our paperwork - again no line here, super fast. Out of the lift someone pointed us to booths 20/21 which w... read complete review

Went for the interview at London 6th January 2022. Smooth process getting in - I got there 25-minutes before my interview. I was lucky that there were no major delays with Security and everything was pretty prompt. Don't bring any large bags or laptops. Just try bring your paperwork and main valuables. Make sure your phone is full of battery (they just ask you to open any app to test that its a working phone).

Same as previous posts I've read, they are on it and everything needs to be in order - they always asked for my passport and D2-260 confirmation page at every checkpoint from first gate, reception etc. Got given a ticket and sent to the 2nd floor and waited for around 15 minutes before my number was called up to the first booth. First case officer was pretty rude but I went with it. He asked for my current valid passport, marriage cert, birth cert, police clearances. I scanned my fingerprints and answered a couple of questions ''where did you meet your wife?'' ''wh... read complete review

I had my interview at 9am today at the US London Embassy. It was a quick 10 minute walk from the Travellodge in Vauxhall for anyone who is looking to stay near the embassy. I had a bit of time to walk along the Thames and enjoy the morning views!

My experience is as described as many others before me in getting into the embassy. Very swift, organised and with directions from Embassy workers.

I waited about 10 minutes for my number to be called, I had my original documents checked at the booth:

- birth certificate
- husbands divorce certificate
- police certificate
- passport
- x1 US passport photo of me

Questions:
- when do you plan on going to the US?
- any other marriages?

I asked the agent if she would like copies but she said it was not needed. Everything is digital now. She told me my medical had been received, took my finger prints. She was super friendly... read complete review
