No problems, everything went smoothly. Just have all your paperwork in order and there isn't any problems.

It took 3 tries to get the visa. She went in alone on Feb 23, 2009. They gave her 221g. They wanted more proof, and said that more I-864 was below the guidelines for 2007, since I owed the IRS 10k. I fixed the I-864 issue by sending my 2008 IRS returns with W-2s and 1099s which showed me to be well above the limit. I sill haven't figured out how they found about this, or why NVC didn't deny me at that stage. Went back in March 2 with the updated tax returns and more proof. The accepted the tax return, but denied her again. We want to see more photos! Ok then 2 digital cameras, photos together all over Bangkok, off to the 1 hour photo shop. Went back in AGAIN on March 3 with these photos. Visa approved, come back tomorrow to pick it up.
I lived with my wife in Bangkok for 2 years. I showed them utility bills with both our names, at the same address in Bangkok. I also showed them two passports with about 100 entry stamps into Thailand. I guess the issue was t... read complete review

Pretty simple, waited a long time which was nerve racking, roughly 4 hours and she was the last to be interviewed out of everyone there. I could not do the actual interview with her, but I was able to go to the processing window when we get to the waiting room to drop off the papers, which helped since she may not have known what all to give them. The interview was about 10 minutes total, they asked her if she had been to the USA before, why she wanted to go, how we met, where we met, how long she knew me, if she wanted to marry me, then they gave her the approval.

I traveled to Thailand for my fiancees interview at the Embassy and I am glad I did. My wife (now) doesn't speak the best English and is shy. The Amercian interviewer and his Thai assistant weren't mean, but they weren't too helpful either. I could hear the interview, my wife was very nervious and messed up one answer and it was all down hill after that. The interviewer asked what year we met, she was thinking Thai calendar and the interviewer was thinking western calendar. He could have asked how many years we knew each other, maybe? He started digging in and probing her answers, which made her more nervious. I had to walk up to the interview, tell them she was nervious and confused and straighten out some of the answers. If I was not there to do this, they probably would have denied her fiancee Visa. Keep that in mind if your fiancee might react the same. Oh, it didn't seem like they read any of the paper work we submitted before the interview, just looked at it for the fir... read complete review

We had our interview on Jan 29, 2009. She was asked a few questions:
How did you meet?
What restaurant? (The consular then proceeded to tell her there was no such restaurant)
Then he went through her passport and asked asked about all the trips she had gone on and with who.
The thai girl behind him was not very helpful, she kept telling him not here, when he would ask for evidence. We had over 400 pages of phone calls, chat logs, sms messages, and emails. So we ended up getting a slip telling us we had to provide more evidence of her talking to me, and there was a problem on her birth certificate with her moms name, the translation service did not translate the name correction.
I went into the embassy to talk to the consular, to get clarification on the relationship evidence. I was very calm, just wanted to know what we needed to bring. He talked to me, and said I need to see that she is contacting you, I showed him the emails, which he ha... read complete review
