My husband had his medical with Dr. Situ. He had an appointment at 8:00am and spent about 2 hours in the office completing blood work, xrays, and a physical examination. He was then told to return to the office after 4pm to recieve his vacinations and pick up his certificate if all was well. Everything got done in one office in one day. He passed and only needed 3 of the 16 shots. Overall we were very please with the experiance

Medical exam review from December:
My husband chose to go with Dr. Sandro Corigliano. He was scheduled to be there at 8:30 but arrived a little early. He is a little fuzzy on how long each thing took But...he did say that they sent him one place to take his blood and then another place to get vaccines and then another place for the medical exam with the doctor and the x-ray. My husband didn't have a vaccine record so they gave him 2 shots. One had 3 different things in there (just the basic requirements). For the doctor portion, the doctor didn't do a full physical. Just checked his blood pressure, listened to his heart, asked him about some scars he had (twice...maybe to see if he had the same answer :P), checked his stomach and did the x-ray. Nothing special. The only things that the doctor asked my husband about were the things he had responded yes to on the forms provided by the embassy. He said that the doctor was friendly and the only surprise wa... read complete review

Overall a good experience. Long, long lines and a lot of waiting. But the first interviewer that called us up to the window was very efficient and was quite quick. The wait for the second interview (which unfortuanately was where we would be told no because of missing a paper from when he lived in Costa Rica) was also very efficient and quick. Gave us a paper with what we needed and what to do to follow up. They even sent a follow up e-mail a couple of weeks later to see how we were progressing so they could finish processing the visa. Quick responses to any questions we sent on the contact form and very accurate. Overall, very good experience with them.

I (petitioner) was not there at the interview, my wife (beneficiary) went by herself yesterday, Nov 10th. We had received an email letter a month before stating that NVC was done with our application and that it was being sent to embassy in Lima.
Interviwed was set for 9AM, my wife got there 8:30. She got in line outside and probably waited like five minutes before being let in. She passed through security after they checked her letter and passport. She waited and then got called up to window 12 where they asked her for the medical envelope (she went to the embassy approved doctor for her physical the week before and also got her vaccine shots, $200 bucks!). The person at the window also asked her a couple of question and then asked for her passport. Then she sat down and waited again. Inside of that waiting area there were lots of people waiting and different groups of people got called up. Then they called her to room 15 for her interviewed. The man there was... read complete review

With the exception of the 2.5 hour wait on a bench with no back support I would say it was overall a pretty good experience. Interviewers were friendly...most of the US Embassy experiences I've heard from family members and Peruvian friends have been negative so I wanted us to be ready. I attended the interview with my fiancee and brought a 2-3 inch stack of paperwork with me (financial docs, proof of our relationship since the initial filing - i.e. photos, phone records, e-mails, chat history, letters...)...even though I had front-loaded the initial petition with tons of relationship & financial evidence I wanted to have more proof. just in case.
First they call you up to pay $350 and turn in TWO copies of DS-156 AND DS-156K...I thought we only needed a duplicate of one of those but we thankfully had another in my backpack. Then you play the waiting game until the beneficiary's name is called for what seems like forever but must have been 30-45 minutes. They interv... read complete review
