I (petitioner) was not there at the interview, my wife (beneficiary) went by herself yesterday, Nov 10th. We had received an email letter a month before stating that NVC was done with our application and that it was being sent to embassy in Lima.

Interviwed was set for 9AM, my wife got there 8:30. She got in line outside and probably waited like five minutes before being let in. She passed through security after they checked her letter and passport. She waited and then got called up to window 12 where they asked her for the medical envelope (she went to the embassy approved doctor for her physical the week before and also got her vaccine shots, $200 bucks!). The person at the window also asked her a couple of question and then asked for her passport. Then she sat down and waited again. Inside of that waiting area there were lots of people waiting and different groups of people got called up. Then they called her to room 15 for her interviewed. The man there was pleasant. He asked her to place her hand on fingerprint scanner. On his desk he had all our documents (I-130, G-325A, A-864, evidence we sent in, pics, etc). Then he asked her to sign end part of DS-230 and had her swear validity of document work. Then he asked her some questions about me and how we met, how many times we seen each other, when was the last time we saw each other, has she ever been to the USA, etc. Then he asked her "are you nervous?" She said a little bit because she wanted to be with me again. He smiled and said "your visa has been approved" and gave her a pink slip. As she was about to leave he said would you like your pics back, she replied yes. As he returned them to her she said, I thought I was going to leave speaking english, he said how so, she said I thought you were going to say WELCOME TO THE USA. He smile and repeated it, she replied "Thank you very much" in english. She left the room and went to the DHL kiosk. My wife said the guy was very cool and overall the whole thing was easy.
