The people at the Embassy have all been very nice, and very easy to work with. Super professional. I have been quite pleased with the whole experience. Well except for their horrible horrible Drs. and the exorbitant fees, which the US Embassy I am sure uses to furnish their appartments and to have BBQs.

The following is timeline of our experience.
6:40 am: We arrived at the embassy and stood in line outside. There were about 7 people in front of us.
7:00 am: Either security or an embassy employee moved the line closer to the entrance of the embassy. The embassy employee then asked to see everyone's appointment letter and she verified the appointment time and checked it against a sheet she was carrying.
7:10 am: We were allowed entrance into the embassy in groups of 4 to pass through security. Passing through security is very similar to an airport, empty all items from your pockets, any bags that are carried in get scanned, walk through metal detectors, etc. One thing worth mentioning, any electronic devices, including car keys that have the remote door lock control are held at this first security checkpoint and you are given a card with a number to identify you and your items.
7:15 am: We walked a short distance an... read complete review

Our interview went rather smoothly and successfully.
Our appointment was at 8:45 so we got in line around 7. The line was rather short, which was a surprise and we were in within 5-10 minutes of showing up. We were admitted immediately into the section for Immigrant Visas and called to the windows by name. First to give the 156, 156K and 157 forms.
The only problem there was that my fiance had two different passport photos so he was asked to go take some new ones, which was no problem. I was also told to pay the fee at the next window.
When went to pay the fee the system wasn't working to accept credit cards, they don't accept checks or Soles, and I did not have enough dollars on me so I had to run out to an ATM. It was no big deal because they let me right back in without waiting in line again and I got back before we were called to do anything else. But my advise would be to Bright the correct amount in $$ ($240) just in case!

We got there at 7.30 am and our appt was at 8.45 am. We got in at 9 am and we were the 12th couple already. Everything was good. I wasn't even asked to provide much evidence, The first window asked me for my ds256 and pictures and then told me to sit down and within 5 minutes I was called to another window where there was a lady who asked me for my affidavit of support and i gave her everything my sweetie gave me. I asked if she wanted to see evidence or something and she just asked me for pictures and barely took a look and said it was enough. After about 30 minutes I was called to a window (I remember it was the 9th) and my fiance and I stood up and went there and there was an american lady who interviewed us through the window. I thought it was going to be in the last one, like everyone else but I supposed it was their lunch time or something. She asked me how we met and how many times I was in the US and that was it. Our visas were approved. We are so relieved this is over and we a... read complete review
