Hi all, By the grace of God, my fiance was approved for a visa today. I wanted to share my experience in the event that it can be of help to anyone else. This site was our absolute SAVIOR when it came to everything regarding this process and I want to pay it forward.

My fiance arrived at the embassy at 6 a.m. for a 7 a.m. interview. He said there were people lined up already and promptly at 7 they started allowing people through the gate. He was dinged on having "Nonimmigrant visa" forms while being an immigrant visa applicant (those are the ones the embassy sent to us to complete, when you receive your NOA2, please confirm that those are the correct forms). The next thing he got dinged on was that his passport photos were too small, so make sure that the passport photos are 2" x 2" standard passport size. You might consider printing your fiancee's photos in your country and including them in the package you'll send them of the paperwork prior to the interview.... read complete review

Good Morning VJ family,

First and foremost I must give all praise and honor to my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, without Him none of this will be possible. My husband and I arrived at the embassy around 8:45 am. My husband's appointment was for 10 am and at the time we arrived they were calling 7 am appointments to line up. At 9:30 am they called for all 10 am appointments so i gave him a kiss and paid my 100 naira to sit and wait. My husband told me that it was very crowded inside but stated where he was seated the Co's he witness were all pleasant. He stated during his time inside there was only one person denied. They asked my husband the following questions:

What is your name?
How is filing for you?
How did you meet?
What does she do?
What are her likes?
Do you have pics together?
How do you communicate?

Basically my husband stated that the CO choose a specific section of the app to ... read complete review

Good morning VJ family...I don't have a very detailed review as when my husband called me at 5am this morning...he was so very happy and excited that he was speaking very fast and I feel only told me bits and pieces...My husband arrived around 5:45am for his 7am inteview...as we all know, he stood in line, went through security, showed his interview letter and gave his medical results...blablabla....anyways, he was waiting for quite some time...in what he said was a very cold waiting area...anyway...he said there was this one interview that seemed to be "giving away" visa's and he said he was praying to get that gentleman...well...he did not get that interview...instead...rather than being called by his "number" he was called by his name...Wow...anyway, he got a different male interviewer...they said good morning to each other...and here goes the interview...the only questions that i can remember my husband saying that he was asked is as follows (maybe not in order)...

Specific Notes for Naija K1 visa applicants:
1. Do a good review of your package and familiarize yourself with your fiancé (e) details.
2. Get your packet - DS-156 (2 copies) and DS-156k filled out properly, you can check samples on VJ.
3. Attach passport photograph (50mmX50mm) to the DS-156 to avoid embarrassment as you won’t be allowed to go in with any liquid including glue and stapler. Also have an extra passport on you.
4. Get your interview letter printed and handy with your international passport.
5. Arrange your supporting documents properly having your packets, police certificate, medical certificate, Original birth certificate and a copy closest to you. Use a bag, folder or envelope for easy carriage.
6. Get to the embassy on time at least 40minutes before your scheduled interview time. Keep left of the queue as this will be the line for IV (Immigrant visa).
My Interview Experience:
I went to bed late around 12.30am... read complete review
