This is my review of the consulate process in CDJ. The appointment letter the consulate sent never arrived at my home address in Aguascalientes, Mexico. However my fiancee in the US received within three weeks, she emailed it to me and it was OK to use that for all appointments. Once i got the letter I called to make the appointments and got my ASC (fingerprints and photos) appointment on Monday June 6th and my consulate interview appointment on Tuesday June 7th (I do not recommend choosing dates that are so close together just incase there is a problem with your medical examination) Got to CDJ on Sunday 5th, and on Monday morning went to get my medical examination done, they informed me that my medical results would not be ready until 10am the next morning, this is why i don't recommend having your dates so close to each other.

In the afternoon I went to the ASC for my fingerprints, which was a breeze, about 45 minutes, most of the time just sitting and waiting. The ne... read complete review

Our experience in Juarez and with the consulate was smooth and painless for the most part. My interview was on 6/9 and since they closed the consulate a day before that, and there were no flights on tuesdays in the airline I liked, we flew in on monday 6/6.

The city:
We stayed at the Ibis Hotel, which was really nice and the cheapest I could find that was within a block from the consulate. If you book online 20 days in advance you can get a rate of approx. $420 pesos a night (reg. price is like $599-699 pesos). The Ibis is sandwiched in between the two clinics and is facing the small plaza right next to the consulate. It also is right across from the mall and next to the wendys and the denny's. I'd say the consulate area is safe to roam around till 9ish, then it starts to get sketchy. One thing that I didn't enjoy was how expensive taxis are in Juarez. A taxi would charge for a 10 minute ride What one in Guadalajara would charge for a 25-30 minute ride.

My fiance's interview was today, June 10th, and he was approved! He arrived from Merida on Sunday, June 5th. He had his ASC appointment on Friday, June 3rd in Merida (for those of you who wonder about having fingerprints taken in other cities, there was no problem) which was a quick appointment. He had his medical appointment on Monday, June 6th, which was also quick and easy. He has two tattoos and they just asked him the meaning of them. He had to bring a paper from his ASC appointment and turn that in this morning before he got in line for his interview. He was called up to have his fingerprints checked (to make sure his fingerprints from the ASC were the same I guess), then he was called to another window later to turn in his paperwork. I had a co-sponsor for the I-134 since I did not make enough money on my 2010 taxes because I had been living in Mexico (but now I make signifcantly more than the required amount), but they did not ask to see the co-sponsor's financial information a... read complete review

The interview at the Cd Juarez consulate went very good, We arrive at the Cd Juarez Consulate on May 12, and went to the clinic to get the exam done for my Wife, We got the results back on the same day, on May 14 We went to my Wife's biometric appointment, on May 16 We went to the interview only my Wife was permitted to enter the Consulate, it took Her almost 4 hrs inside the Consulate and everything went smooth, They approved her visa and told us to wait for Her visa at the DHL office, at the second day my Wife got Her visa; Overall I think the whole process went very smooth.

Día 1 (llegada a CD.
