We are at the end of the visa road, and I relied on this site and its users for a long time, the information we got here was so helpful so I hope the details I will put here will be helpful for the next people too.
Start from the beginning - I am a USC, living in Mexico City, filing DCF (Direct Consular Filing) for my wife. Since I was a Mexico City resident (just moved from Mexico to the US this week, this is why we filed the I130 and visa), I qualified to file at the consulate. Fellow user Jorge wrote an excellent guide on filing DCF: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php?title=DCF_Mexico
The only thing I would add about the I130 submission, is that I added a lot in terms of documents they asked for – I added many proofs of our address, many of my bank statements, about 40 photos of us (20 together and 20 alone as recommended by our lawyer, I printed them off facebook so ... read complete review

Brief summary of our experience at the US Consulate in Ciudad, Juarez,
Because the whole process can be nerve wrecking, I want to share my experience.
Day 1- October 9th, 2017
MEDICAL EXAM, we choose ClÃnica Médica Internacional, appointment at 7 am
Requirements:
-letter sent by the US Consulate or via mail in some cases
-passport
- Optional; Inmunization records (We decided he shoud get them, because we´ll need them for the AOS )
This takes place at their main building, where they perform a visual exam and collect a urine sample
After that my fiance was sent to a building across the Street, to take his chest X-rays, and vaccines). This process lasts arround 2 hours, you can pay with a USA credit card the but you will be charged in pesos, we paid approximately $8,000 pesos. Or they also take cash payments ($220 usd plus tax and $215 usd for vaccines)

- CR 1 , wife petitioning husband
- Priority date August 09, 2016
- Received appointment notice in September

When I sent the package with all the documents to NVC I forgot the police certificate paper, they told me I could just take it to the interview.
Since we are Jehovah Witnesses, we stayed with our brothers from the religion, we saved a lot money, on a hotel.
They also drove us every where or we took la ruta (universitaria) or uber is much cheaper than a taxi.
Plan accordingly a lot of traffic.

We got our approval today! In very good spirits. Here's our review.
We had a bit of a curveball thrown to us when our Oct. 9 appointment was cancelled and moved to November 3rd (after our Oct 21 wedding!) because the Embassy was going to have an "administrative day". Thankfully, I had called my Senator and asked them to be inquiring about my case. I did this after we got our RFE. Our Senator's office was very helpful in this time of crisis and we were able to schedule an appointment for Sept 28.
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express. It's a great hotel, decent breakfast every morning and close to everything! They even give you access to an amazing gym across the street at the mall. Definitely recommend.
We arrived on Monday, the 25th. Adiel had his medical at 11 on Tuesday. He went to Clinica Medical Internacional. It was pretty straightforward except there was a little confusion around what shots he needed. Once that got clarified, al... read complete review

We did CR-1/IR-1
After about 2 months of I-130 approval in USCIS Mexico City, I was waiting to hear back from US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez. I called and emailed the consulate in Ciudad Juarez to see if my documents were processed. Initially. they said they couldn't locate the document. But after a few attempts, they emailed me backed saying it was processed. So I don't think they process the documents right away or don't initiate until attempts are made.
USCIS Mexico City was very helpful and quick.
I have been to a US embassy/consulate. They are more flexible with phones and backpacks. They store your phone for you and backpacks are allowed. Ciudad Juarez did not allow me to bring a cell phone initially. So I went back to drop off my phone in my hotel room. When I went back, while I was going through security, they said my backpack and my spouse's bag have too much stuff in it so they told me to put it elsewhere and come back. So I had to go back a... read complete review
