Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

- CR 1 , wife petitioning husband
- Priority date August 09, 2016
- Received appointment notice in September
- Appointment in Juarez consular October 6,2016 @ 9:45

When I sent the package with all the documents to NVC I forgot the police certificate paper, they told me I could just take it to the interview.

Since we are Jehovah Witnesses, we stayed with our brothers from the religion, we saved a lot money, on a hotel.
They also drove us every where or we took la ruta (universitaria) or uber is much cheaper than a taxi.
Plan accordingly a lot of traffic.

Tuesday- arrived in Juarez
Wednesday - medican exam at Clinica Medical Internacional (CMI)
Take; if you have appointment take confirmation number (if not just make sure you go from 6am-11), passport, P4 consulate appointment letter, vaccines record
You can eat before appointment.
Husband appointment was @ 8:00 but we arrived at 7 and they took him right in, literally took less than 30 mins.
In and out real quick.
My husband said, his experience was really quick and when you pee in the cup it was awkward someone is there watching you not pour someone's else's pee in the cup. Also, they ask if you have tattoos and piercings. If you have vaccines take documentation of it, husband had a total of three shots. Paid total- $415 dollars
Went back for resulta @ 1:30. DONT OPEN RESULTA IN BLACK ENVELOPE.

Thursday- fingerprints @ 7:50
Be on time.
Take passport, P4 consulate appointment letter, DS-260, fingerprint appointment.
Be in and out real quick, less than 15 minutes.
They give you back your papers and those exact papers take to your interview. They staple a little blue paper to the P4 consulate appointment letter and DS-260, never knew what that was for but those you need for interview.

Friday- appointment consulate @ 9:45

Take all your documents, the P4 consulate appointment letter had a checklist make sure you take everything.
Original documents are birth certificate, marriage certificate, and police certificate
Translations - not needed all my documents where in Spanish, but to be safe everything was translated

My husband experience at the interview, he went to the bathroom and his group went in and made him be last, so make sure you pay attention inside. In the interview took less than 3 minutes, all they asked him was his name, his petitioners name, if he had tattoos, and that's it. You have been approved. 🙂

No one allowed inside with the applicant, everyone was waiting outside but it was to hot for that, so I went to the Nueva Central that is located next to CMI clinic and waited there (coffee and yummy bread), waited 2 hours for my husband to come out, if you wait some where else make sure you tell them where..

We decided not to wait in Juarez for my husband documents, since it was on Friday his interview, Saturday and Sunday don't count, so we would had to wait until Tuesday to pick them up (I think). When I was outside waiting for my husband I heard people say that a couple had been waiting 2 weeks for there documents. But who knows everyone is different I think...

***** hope this review helps. I read a lot of reviews and they sure did help us. So hopefully our experience can help others.

👉🏻We thank you, Jehovah, each day and each night,
