So I wanted to write a quick review as me and my husband finally had a chance to chat about it today. Tommaso took the train from Rome to Naples on Sunday night and was ready for the medical on Monday. He actually went to his own doctor in Rome to get most of the vaccines he was missing 2 weeks before(he compared his records to what was required) and ended up only paying for just 1 vaccine the day of the medical exam. I would suggest if you can do this as well before hand to do it so you are not paying more the day of. He said he didn't wait too long, they took his blood, chest xray, saw the doctor and was given the 1 vaccine he was missing. From there he was told to go the embassy at 2pm for finger prints the same day. He went and it was pretty fast. Next day was the big day and he arrived early. Once inside, one person checked his documents and then someone else called him up to the window and it was time for the interview. All she asked him was how we met, where I work, where will w... read complete review

I had my interview on July 16th 2013 and here I'll try to explain my experience, give you tips to move around in Naples (it's my hometown) and what to do to try save some money at the medical.
Let's start from the day you get your interview date. When you get your email/letter telling you when you have your interview, make sure you have all the documents requested. If you sent the originals to the NVC you can bring copies of them (like I did) just in case they'll ask for them but if you have them on hand you can bring the originals.
Once you're done with the documents, start digging in all of your drawers and find the most recent vaccination certificate you have. If you don't have one you can go get it at your local ASL (or ask your doctor how to get one) and make sure you got anti tetanus less than 10 years ago and the "trivalente" for mumps, measles, rubella which in Italian are called orecchioni, morbillo, rosolia. If you've got your antitetanus vaccination mor... read complete review

Per my husband his experience was very pleasant at the US Consulate in Naples. The best piece of advice he told me was to make sure that you arrive on time and that you have ALL the CORRECT documents in hand when arriving to the consulate. The list of all the documents is sent to you in your Packet 3, and you should follow these requirements precisely. The interview was very short and they wanted to see the valid documents. Any questions please feel free to ask If accepted, you will pick up your Immigrant Visa the next day after 5pm, so plan your trip accordingly good luck all

Hi there,
Just a few tips about the interview for a spouse of a US Citizen in Naples. My wife and I are here today and have completed the medical part of the exam. For her it was no problem, it was more difficult to find the clinic which is in a part of town far from the central area. Once there at 7.30AM, we waiting for maybe 30 minutes, then she was called for a blood test. Just so you know, YOU DON"T HAVE TO FAST. It is only to see if you have STD's, no cholesterol, blood work etc that your doctor would normally require. She then waited again for about 30/45 more minutes and was called for the doctor to see her. She was asked a few questions and given an x-ray, eye exam and then one shot which she didn't have. We left the clinic by around 10/10/30 in the AM, but some others were there until 12. After that, all of the applicants have to go to the consulate at 2PM with one picture to get fingerprinted.
WARNING!! MAKE SURE YOUR PASSPORT IS IN THE MOST PERFECT, P... read complete review
