So I wanted to write a quick review as me and my husband finally had a chance to chat about it today. Tommaso took the train from Rome to Naples on Sunday night and was ready for the medical on Monday. He actually went to his own doctor in Rome to get most of the vaccines he was missing 2 weeks before(he compared his records to what was required) and ended up only paying for just 1 vaccine the day of the medical exam. I would suggest if you can do this as well before hand to do it so you are not paying more the day of. He said he didn't wait too long, they took his blood, chest xray, saw the doctor and was given the 1 vaccine he was missing. From there he was told to go the embassy at 2pm for finger prints the same day. He went and it was pretty fast. Next day was the big day and he arrived early. Once inside, one person checked his documents and then someone else called him up to the window and it was time for the interview. All she asked him was how we met, where I work, where will we live and if him and my daughter got along. He answered everything calmly and then it was done! She said "congratulations and good luck! Pick up your visa tomorrow" and she gave him a paper with the instruction on where to pick up his visa. She didn't even ask to see the album of photos or any of the emails and boarding passes and love letters he had with him!
He went today at 4pm even if he was told it would be ready at 5pm but his visa packet and passport were ready anyway!
The main thing he said was that there were a lot of people who did not have all their documents. He felt the most prepared (we went over everything a million times and he took copies of every document even if the checklist said the embassy already had it) The main one most people were missing was the "Certificato Generale del Casellario Giudiziale" I don't really know why people were missing these!
I don't know if this review will help much but all in all Tommaso said the experience was not as stressful as he thought it would be and felt his experience was good.
Good luck to whoever has their interview in Naples coming up!
