Hi
Well, I had a good experience. It was a short interview and CO just asked me these questions:
who is petitioning for you?
when did you get married ?
Do you have any children, do you have any pictures of your children ?
Other than that it was a general chat, like you've been to the US before right, I said yeah and then she said you'll get you passport back in about a week's time.
The CO was really nice and candid.
Because N.Delhi has a lot of rush of people for interviews, there is a lot of waiting, it took me 3.5 hours after I entered and I was the 2nd batch of people who entered at 8 am and even then, I had 38 people waiting ahead of me. So after fingerprinting, took another 3 hours to get to the pre-screener and then after that may be another 30-40 mins for the interview which may be last 5 mins. So i'll suggest may be carrying a book/magazine etc or you can pass your time by listening to others being... read complete review

American Embassy New Delhi, Immigrant Visa Section employees are just too quick reply back. They also answer all of your question, which you have asked in your email. Even my petition was still pending with USCIS-CSC, Embassy staff answered my email with next step process. Now I am at National Visa Center and email the embassy to ask something, they respond back. They are much quicker and responsible to their duties than staff here in CSC.

What can i say since everything on that day went perfect. My interview was scheduled at 9.00 AM in the morning. Since i did not submit my documents to VFS, it took a little longer for me to finish the first stage i.e. submitting the documents. Indian guy who collected the documents was very very friendly and very co-operative. I was inside the consulate by 9.15 AM and finished submitting the documents by 10.15 AM. Then i had to wait for an hour for the actual interview by VO. It started at 11.15 AM and lasted for about 45 minutes. Since i had very long time relationship with her it took 45 minutes to describe the entire thing. VO was also very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. All went well and i heard the golden words "Your visa has been approved and you will receive your passport in next 7 working days."

Firstly Sorry for the Delay in Review.
We had our Interview on 3rd of Sep @ 8:30AM in Chennai.
We stayed at the Rain Tree hotel on Anna Salai, about 3-4 KMs Away from the Embassy any auto would drop you at the embassy for Rs20 – 30.
We reached embassy at 8:10 and were immediately asked to stand in a Line outside the building by the security guard, security guards make groups of people (in a line) outside the embassy to make the security check and entry into the building easy.
Please make sure you have no Luggage/Handbags.. Only allowed items into the embassy are file or papers or Albums (no DVD’s Cell phones etc).
At 8:25AM they asked my wife get into the building (security female checked all papers etc etc).
Once into the building she was asked to be seated in a separate hall(Separate from H1 visa etc), at around 9:10AM an Indian lady called her name and checked all the papers and asked her to wait for the CO to call out her name... read complete review

Interview Date: 8/12/2010, Time: 9:00am
I reached the consulate at 8:45am. I went through the security checking, they checked the interview letter, passport, and medical reports (which is sealed in an envelope from Apollo heart center. After that they directed me to another building. There is a big hall where all the interviews for CR visa, IR visa, student visa are held. There are 12 counters in which 3 are for CR and IR visas. I waited there for 20 minutes and the individual (he was Indian) at counter 10 called me and he returned all the original certificates, took my fingerprints, and he instructed me to sign the DS230. He asked me a couple
questions regarding when I got married, Where my wife in US is located?, he asked me to flip my wedding album and said, "ok" and gave me a pink slip. my number was 135. He told me to wait until they called this number for the interview.
It took about 30 minutes for them to call me, the lady (american) at counter 8 called my n... read complete review
