My husband had his interview today. I have never heard of (x3) COs hammering questions at the beneficiary together. They asked questions about my two previous divorces, they asked questions about why he had not had an arranged marriage and why we got married in Hong Kong rather than India. They asked questions about our church. There was one American lady and two Indian ladies interviewing. They would ask questions and then tell Tapash to go wait. Then five minutes later they would bring him back to the counter and fire off more questions. We received a 221-G. Here is what we wrote in response that we will submit to the VFS in Kolkata on Monday.

1st interview was bad for my fiance. He was only asked a few questions then told he was ineligible - and his passport was kept. He wasn't even given a slip or reason and how to overcome the ineligibility. Questions asked were- "who is your fiance?" "where does she work?" He had the Asian guy. He had about 200 pages of evidence but it wasn't looked at. Reason for denial on letter was "only met 1 time over a year ago". I am thinking if you're not following indian marriage practices then u definitely need to make sure you meet several times.

we were later told by people with experience, if you the USC has 3 weeks of vacation for a year. take 3 one week trips to india versus going 1 time for 3 weeks. This will work in your favor instead of making only 1 trip. try to go to india and spent lots of time together if you met online.

We sent letter to my senator which was 5 pages, and the embassy changed our denial and gave us a 2nd interview..was so happy!

My Wife was in n out in about 1 Hour...

She walked in at 7:30 am

She was asked to sit for awhile after which they called her to the window, Asked her for her passport and gave back the original documents and took her Fingerprint.

Then she was asked again to have a seat, after waiting for a while they announced her name and told her to go to a certain window.

So my wife went for the interview on July 8th. The consular treated her nicely, took all the documents, asked some very basic questions and in the end said that "everything looks good, we are just going to do some more verification before we can issue you a visa". Also we need a few more documents from you.

She then pointed her to a different counter where my wife received a pink 221(g) handout. More info about the handout is here : http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/consular/refused-or-pending-visa/221g-administrative-processing.html

Has anybody been through Administrative Processing recently at New Delhi?
Could you please share your experience and tell us about how long it took for the AP to finish.

thank you so much!
god bless,
-Nav

In the entire process of filing once our I-130 was accepted, the U.S. embassy operated faster than we were expecting. We were completely caught off guard when we had all of our documentation except for the PCC. We filed on April 11th, 2011 and had an interview date by June 1st, 2011. I am not sure what is the record filing time for a DCF, but I wish we would have got the PCC sooner so we could have tried to beat it! We didn't use a lawyer. The forms were straight forward and we had all the documentation for the DCF. Visa Journey was extremely helpful every step of the way. Like most other people who file via DCF, we had more documentation than was needed by the embassy. It's better to have more than not enough! Once we received Packet 3, we went back to the embassy together to turn it in by hand.

It is extremely busy inside the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. There was a wonderful Indian lady who helped us gather all of the documentation required to submit Packet ... read complete review
