Reached one day before the interview, stayed in a good hotel at T Nagar. That morning it was raining heavily, but fortunately the rain stopped by 10 AM. So me and my hubby started at 11:45 AM from the hotel and reached at 12:10 near the consulate gate. I was with my hubby, but wasn't allowed to go inside by the security folks. So I waited outside. As all the IV interview were scheduled at 1 PM, they will only allow to stand on queue only at 12:30. But it is always safe to reach early, that's why we reached at 12:00. So we waited half an hour outside and then at 12:30 the queue for IV Visa has started and there were around 15-20 candidates for the IV interview. Then security guys asked to keep the passport and interview letter ready. At 12:50 PM my hubby's turn came and he handed over the interview letter and passport to the lady in the security window, the lady gave him his token. Hello All, here is our experience at Chennai consulate. My wife went in at 12.30 PM and came out around 3PM. Overall experience was good. Some of the questions my wife could remember was
who is the petitioner?
what does he do?
where does your husband work?
where does he live?
How did you meet?
How many guests attended the wedding?
the interview overall was like for 15 minutes. collected the passport and sealed envelope the next day from VFS.

My visa interview was scheduled at 7.30 in the morning. They generally take you in 15 minutes prior to the time. I had to go thorough an initial security check at the gate. Please donot carry any food items or water,the consulate is equipped with a cafe. I was then guided to a window for fingerprinting and further asked to wait.
After about 5 mins I was called by an Indian officer. She took my passport handed back some documents and asked me a couple of questions
Whats your name?
Who is calling you?
When did you last meet?
Have you ever tried to migrate to the US?
I was later asked to wait. THe Immigration Officer called me in another hour and half. Greeted me with a big smile which was a booster enough for my spirits. I was asked to sign the DS-230 Part II and take an oath. After which she asked me a couple of questions...

Where did you meet?
