I first have to thank VJ and especially the friends I have made through this site. Without their advice and help, this process would have been much more challenging!
We arrived at the embassy this morning at 5am. My fiance wanted to get there early and we were the first in line. We entered the embassy at 7am. After the security checkpoint (leave all makeup, computer/phone, medicine at home or in your car)- we went to a waiting area inside. Very thankful that this room was air conditioned. They called us up to check-in at the counter. They asked him a few questions (Are we already married, have we been married to others, do we have children together etc....). They returned a number of the extra copies of items I had submitted. I had prepared additional evidence (more pictues, travel documents, phone/skype etc...) but she would not take it and said if they needed anything additional they would ask. They took his passport and we returned to our seats. After a bit... read complete review

We got to the embassy at about 7:30 am. The line to get in was fairly short for us. We went straight to the people and asked them about the line for residence. We went through security then sat in the yard where they have a space designated as a waiting area. We waited there for a while, at least an hour. While sitting there I had to go to the bathroom. I went. The stalls had no doors and you were looking at people going about their business. I didn't like that at all. I was annoyed that they did that to people. So went back to my husband. Then they called us inside the building. On the right, was the room for people requesting visas. On the left, for residence/green card. We were asked to sit at one spot, then the security decided that we were not supposed to be there but against the wall. We sat there a while. Then they said that we were not supposed to be sitting there, so we got separated. My husband sat somewhere and me a different spot. When he was getting close to the window, I ... read complete review

Hello All!!! We are finally approved Praise God. Our interview was at 7am we arrived at the Embassy close to 6am. We waited in a line outside for about 45 minutes. We were then let inside and went through 2 security check points. After arriving inside the Embassy we sat in a waiting room with several other people. Our name was called and we went to a small window and spoke with a very polite young American lady. She asked if we had any other documents or pictures we wanted to submit. I gave her about 20 more pictures of us, phone records and letters. Then we went back to sit down. We waited for about another 20 minutes and they called his name again. We went to a new window and they took his finger prints. Then we went to sit back down. We waited for about another hour. We talked and prayed and tried not to worry. His name was called again and we went up to a new window. She told me to have a seat while she asked my fiance some questions. So I went to sit down. She was very sweet a... read complete review

We were about 15 minutes away from the embassy. We left the house a 5:40 and arrived at 6 am. When we got there, there was already people in line. Left line is for immigrant visas, the right one is for tourists visa, but we didn't know that until about 6:30 security asked us for the interview letter. Luckily he was nice he allowed us to proceed to the second checkpoint where we had to leave all electronics, liquid etc... then we proceeded inside for bag checks. 10 minutes later, we were already at the consulate waiting area. At 7:30 we were called to the first window to check in. THANK GOD it was a nice young man lol.. he asked us if we brought new proofs, we gave him 2 big folder of our whattsup and Skype conversation, then he asked us a few questions like:if either me or my fiancé was married before we met, new contact number etc then he returned some extra evidence that we brought to us and we went back to our seat. In the meantime my job was to calm him down. I had no doubt in my ... read complete review

I arrived in Haiti on Sunday, we did not have enough family pictures and pictures of friends when we submitted our package. One of our visa journey member (mtcmk1) suggested to me they really pay attention to those details, and I thank her greatly for that. She even suggested it was so important for the petitioner to be there and it make a big difference, so I packed my bags and flew to Haiti to be with my fiance at the interview,am so happy I did that. So here we are running all around Haiti taking pictures with family, friends, and even people at the hotel, people on the street and pictures of familiar areas the CO would know, like were the palace use to be. We were like chickens running around with our heads cut off. On Monday morning we left for the Embassy at 5:00am,and arrived @ 5:45am. There was a long line from what I saw when we were pulling up. We got in the line then a man started to tell everyone that we had to make two line one for the visitor visa, and one for k visa. Thank... read complete review
