I arrived in Haiti on Sunday, we did not have enough family pictures and pictures of friends when we submitted our package. One of our visa journey member (mtcmk1) suggested to me they really pay attention to those details, and I thank her greatly for that. She even suggested it was so important for the petitioner to be there and it make a big difference, so I packed my bags and flew to Haiti to be with my fiance at the interview,am so happy I did that. So here we are running all around Haiti taking pictures with family, friends, and even people at the hotel, people on the street and pictures of familiar areas the CO would know, like were the palace use to be. We were like chickens running around with our heads cut off. On Monday morning we left for the Embassy at 5:00am,and arrived @ 5:45am. There was a long line from what I saw when we were pulling up. We got in the line then a man started to tell everyone that we had to make two line one for the visitor visa, and one for k visa. Thank God that made us the 5th person in line. We waited until 6:50am and the securities came out and started to prepare to let people in. If anyone had cell phones or liquid etc you had to pay to put it in a little open locker. We then preceeded into the building for the 1st security check, then heading into the open patio area and enter another door which was the 2nd security check, and then the wait begun. My God I have never witness so many people crying, because they were denied. So the wait made us a little paranoid, because every name they called it sounded like my fiance name so we were did they call B? what name did they just call? Lol boy I tell you your mind could really play tricks on you.Anyway around 8:20am we heard them call my fiance name to come to window 19, my knees was shaking and my heart was beating so fast,it was a very nice African American man who only call us to go through my fiance file and his son file. We gave him the pictures of family and friends we had taken the prior night, copy of Soge Bank receipts,I had a letters from family and friends but he said hold on to it and everything else and if the CO wanted to see them they would let us know. The wait was on from there! and it was hot!!! or maybe it was just my mind again. Around 10:15am they called B name again to window 15.We both got up others were already in line. I stood on the side of my fiance so when we approched the window another CO White American Female turned to me & not my fiance and said what is your name,@ first I did not hear her so she yelled it out so rudely again. I told her you called my fiance and gave her his name, and she said am so sorry, am very sorry I did not know you guys was together. She took his finger prints and told us to have a seat. We waited and waited tried to listen in on the other people interview. Some of the CO were so rude!Yelling @ some of the people if they did not understand them or having to have them repeat themselves on more than one occassion. Some people were denied when asked why the CO would just say madame or sir that is it you may leave now (never to give a reason why)alot were denied because they needed to speak to the petitioner (thank God I went), one man was told he needed to take a dna test. It seems to me the CO\'s had a field day just denying the visa. There was one particular CO eventhough she denied alot of visa she seemed to be the nicest one out of the bunch. Me and my fiance while observing both said I rather go to the CO @ window 17, so happy go lucky we heard B.... please come to window 17 my mouth flew open, so all three of us approached the window, may I remind you my fiance son Chris is only 2years old. So when we arrive she turned to me and said let me interview your fiance first then you (keep in mind every petitioner that was there for the interview was interviewed separately) so here goes his questions:

1. How did you meet? through a mutual friend
2. How long have you known your fiance? 6 years
3. How long have you been together as a couple? One year four months
4. Do she have children? yes two (he gave the names before she can even ask)
5. How do they feel about you? They like me alot
6. Do they talk to you? if yes how? yes & through skype and majic jack
7. What does her older daughter do for a living? She assist her mom with her business (Then the CO turned and said what business is it ....(She already knew I had a non-profit organization) what the hell????
8. What plans do you have for the wedding? and why do you want to marry in US, he answered by telling her we planned a small wedding with her family on her mother birthday which is March 15
9. She asked him who the people in the pictures where? He told her (so funny it was the pictures we tooked the day before she inquired about.. funny)
10.She asked him what do you love about your fiance? he told her her heart. if only you could look inside of it you would know exactly what I mean. She loves me and my son.I asked God to bring someone into me and my son life that could love us and care for us and he brought me an angel. Her smile, when she smiles she brightens my day, and her touch even if where far apart I can still feel her
11. Is her youngest daughter in any sports or activities at school? yes she is in the band
12. when did your fiance first came to Haiti? he got the month and the day right, but I do not know why he said 2011, when it was 2012
So then she asked him to call me up. I was holding the baby and when I proceeded to give him to his father, My God! he did not want to go, he kick and hollowed and reach out to me just to take him. The CO witness all of this and she had a smile on her face. So I proceeded to the window with Chris in my hand. She said afternoon how are you? I said fine, and she said I am going to ask you some questions and answer them as best as you can. Chris had some candy in his hand he took one of the candy and put it in my mouth held my two cheeks and gave me the biggest kiss right in front of the CO she looked and smiled again. I tell you it seemed that this little boy knew why we were there, he really put on a good show Lol Wow amazing!!! So here goes my questions:

1. How did you get to America? I said am orignally from a small island call Bimini Bahamas and arrive through a little small airline call Chalks international
2. When did you get her? I was 6 years old
3. What does your older daughter do for a living? She assist me with my non profit organization
4. Is your younger daughter in any school activities? yes she is in the band
5. What does your non-profit organization do? We assist homeless people especially homeless veterans, single parents, the elderly find homes. I am working with the city of miami, and the city of nmb where I am in the process of going through a neighborhood sponsoring program where we are preparing to rehab old apartment building and giving the homeless a place to stay, we also collect new and use clothing and shoes for them. We get donations from companies like Walmart, etc that gives clothing and vouchers to them, and I am also in the process of going through a program called workforce to assist them in finding jobs so they would not end up on the streets again.
6. I see you have another job where do you work? and for how long? I work for ??? for 14 years
7. And before that what did you do? I worked for the Fire Rescue
8. I see Chris is very young? and before she could say anything else I turn to her and said you see this little boy I love him as though I gave birth to him. I love him just as I love my own
9. How does his mom feel about her son leaving the country? You know I can honestly tell you that B has had his son since he was 5 month old. Chris mom as you can see signed all of the necessary papers for her son to have a visa to travel with his father. I said I will not knock her for her decision she has done what she has done because she love her son. She wants to see a better life for him by giving him to his father. I know if she could be at this interview she would stand before you and tell you the same thing that I have told you
10. She said what do you love about your fiance? when I proceeded to tell her my voice cracked and my eyes watered. I said only if you knew what I went through with my divorce you would probably cry for me, but this man B eventhough we were not together during my divorce was the rock that I needed. He loves me, I can see the love in his eyes when he looks at me, He talks to me and not at me, he motivates me, when am at work and am stress he calls me on the workline and do not say anything and play loves songs and at the end of the song onlything you would hear him say is "I Love You" and then he hungs up because he knows am not able to be on the phone very long. So I stand her before you and all these people and most importantly I stand here before God and I can honestly tell you while looking into your eyes that I love this man with all of my heart and nothing is going to change the way I feel about him ( The CO looked at me, and she seemed to be so amazed, she took a deep breath and had a biggest smile on her face, again)
11. Then she asked when was the first time I came to Haiti? I told her the date and gave her the correct year which was 2012

She then asked me to call my fiance up. So I called him up and she asked him the same question again. When did your fiance come to Haiti? He said the same thing 2011. She said Mr.B are you sure, so I turned to him and said Babe I was not here in 2011 so then he said ohhhhhh my God am so sorry it was 2012 am thinking were still in 2012 forgetting this is a new year. So the CO looked and laugh and said its ok. Then she said excuse me one moment and left to go talk to someone. She came back and said you guys have really prove that your relationship is real. I even read some of your skype messages and you didnt hide anything even the little arguments you submitted (wow they really read those things) I am approving your visa today and good look to you both. Hallelujah!!! so at the end of the day it all about how you express yourself. I thought because I am 11 years older than him, and him having a young child it would have effected the CO decision. Not once did she mention anything about our age difference or even thought twice about Christopher. See saw a young little boy that loves me. We are truly bless

p.s. I had to edit my review to give everyone heads up. Thank also to our visa journey member mtcmk1 who attended her interview a week before I did told me not to submit too many wire transfer because it may show that the fiance may be using the petitioner. I suggest to show only 3 or 4, because at her interview also mine people were denied because of this. Please give eye to eye contact, do not take your eyes off of them, and when asked a question answer them as quick as possible don't say umh umh like your trying to make up something.
