It seems, the case is in AP. Message received:
"Under current U.S. law and regulations, certain applicants require additional administrative processing before a visa can be issued. We will contact you as soon as it is brought to conclusion.
However, please rest assured that as soon as we are able to proceed we will take immediate action in your case."

Very disappointed with the time of issuing the visa in the passport after the interview approval. It has been 18 calendar days and nothing yet.

Very nice, smooth interview.
Twice at the window. Once - for fingerprints, the second one - for talking to the Vice Consul. No specific rooms. Everything happening in the mail hall.
The entire visit took me about 1.5 hour.

I had my interview appointment at 09:30 am and arrived about 40 minutes early.
There are two lines next to each other outside in front of the consulate.
One for all the non immigrant visa applicants and one for all the others.
As a K1 or CR1/IR1 applicant you have to wait in the "others" line.
There were two windows open, one being responsible for the non immigrants
and the other for the immigrant/K1/citizen cases.
When it was my turn to go to the window, the officer asked me in English
what the purpose of my visit is.
After I told her I'm here for my CR1 interview, she wanted to see my passport and checked me off of a list (I believe) then she put a small paper with a number in my passport, returned it to me and told me to go through security.
The security inspection started outside where an officer was distributing transparent plastic bags, where I had to put my wallet + key.
Then I was all... read complete review

I had my interview today in Frankfurt.
Bad things first: You are not allowed to bring any electronic devices, but there is a Kiosk where you can leave your cellphone. Personally, not a nice solution as they should provide storage. Anyways, if you can leave it at home or car. I just didn't bring it at all, because I took the plane.
I arrived pretty early around 8.10 AM (my appointment was scheduled at 9.00 AM). It was a chilly day so at the first window the woman told me that I can go inside already. Security like at airports, nothing to be worried about. After I received my number, I was told to go straight to window 22, where they pick your file. I was the unlucky one today - my application was not with all the others. The person was looking for it for round about 7-10 minutes. After that I had to wait for the number to show up. Next was a friendly lady who looked through the application and she told me that everything looks complete. She took finger prin... read complete review
