I had a very good experience at the embassy in Frankfurt for my K1 interview.
My appointment was at 9:30am. I got there one hour early. There was a line infront of the building for Nonimmigrant and another line for Immigrant visa applictations. The Nonimmigrant lane was pretty long. In the immigrant lane I only had 2 people infront of me. After checking in at a window outside of the building and giving them my passport. they gave me a number and I had to go through security. Then walk to another bulding. Then a lady welcomed me and told me to check in at the cashiers window. This guy talked German and was really nice. he wanted to see my printed appointment confirmation and my passport. And he got out my file. He told me he would give the file to his coworkr and I needed to sit down and wait until my number was called to another window. As my number showed up on the screen I had to go to window 20. This guy was also very friendly adn talked German. Went with a checklist through my documents. Told me that my medical wasn"t there yet. I told him it should be there very soon because I knew the doctor sent it out two days before. He checked all my personal information. Talked me through the rules of the visa and the further process. Then he took fingerprints. He told me to sit back down and wait for me to be called to window 18, where I will have my interview. I waited for another 20 minutes until the lady in window 18 called my name. I said hi. She was American and talked English to me. She asked me to hold up my right arm and swear that all my information I gave them and the documents were true. I answered with "Yes I do" :-) She asked me where and when we met: at Octoberfest in Munich. What he was doing in Germany that time? ... Business trip in Duessledorf and two days vacation Octoberfest. What is his occupation? --- Clinical Sales Manager. How did he propose? ... Valentinesday in Prague when he was here for visit. Ok that was it. Sje gave me my original documents and said that it might take some time for my visa to be printed because the printing system is down since a few days. But... that was it. EASY!!!! You guys can relax!
