The interview itself was really brief and very disappointing.
The consular officer told me that my visa could not be processed because I had 1 police record missing. I lived in the Netherlands for 11 months and even though the instructions said that you only have to bring documents for stays longer than 12 months she said "yeah.. well.. actually it is so close to 12 months that you really need to bring it".
I also told her that there was no point to bring that police record because I had already presented police records from Spain, Germany and France (all clean) and that the European criminal database was centralized anyway, she didn't have an answer for that and just shrugged her shoulders. After that she said that the rest was ok and that I'd have no problem to get the visa though.
I wish this could have been clearly explained in the instructions.

The interview date was probably the best part out of the entire K-1 visa process.
Our appointment was early in the morning but we arrived almost 45 minutes too early. Nobody seemed to mind it though. There were a lot of people waiting in the non-immigrant visa line. But we went to the immigrant visa line and it was completely empty so we went straight in. Everyone was extremely friendly and super nice besides one or two security guards, but they were just doing their job.
We went in and were called to the first window. He verified that all my documents are there and that they didn't need anything else from me. We were told to wait until we get called up to the second window. After being called up again, I had my fingerprints taken and the interview process was explained to me. The lady then told me that my medical results are still missing and asked me when I had it done. We started in February and it took 5 months to get this done.
About the interview day,we were late because of bad traffic.
It takes usually one&a half hour to get to frankfurt from our home. But the day it took almost 3 hours.So we needed to call to consulate to tell them we are runnning late.The lady on the phone was very nice and tell me dont worry!
We got there 30 minutes later of appointment time.But nobody mentioned about it.So after arriving there...
Going through security,
Show the people your appointment paper,
Pay the fee,
Get information about what is going to do on the day and what I will do after receving the Visa
Then Interview! Questions were...
How and when did you meet your husband?
And what happened?
Why will you move to the states?

Everyone had been really friendly and interview itself took only 5 minutes.
They asked me about how we meet, where and what my fiancée is working and what my future plans will be.

Hatte meinen Termin um 9:30 und 10:45 war schon wieder mit "approved" draußen.
Alle sind nett und professionell, der Rest wurde schon mehrmals beschreiben und stimmt
