All in all a very pleasent experiance.

Security guards at the entrance need to get an Attitude adjustment! They are acting rude in Parts, with no empathie on nervous Applicants..
The actual Interview procedure ist very easy:
Upon arrival at the Embassy you get a Number assigned and drop off your Invitation Letter along with your Passport.
Then you are going to Security, after entering the embassy you are beeing directed to Window 22 to pay your Interview Fee ($325) and then you have to wait for your Number to be up.
Next Step involves Fingerprinting and review of all documents admitted, to make sure everything is enclosed. This procedure takes anywhere between 5 and 15 Minutes, depending on the Volume of your admitted documents. You also need to hand over any Documents requested with your Appointment Invitation Letter
Then it is back to waiting for the the actually Interview
This takes only like 10 Minutes with general Questions a... read complete review

Since our appointment was at 7:45am on a Monday we stayed the night at the hotel "Arena Villa am Wasserpark" just around the corner so we could get to the consulate on foot within 10 minutes.

We were told to stand in line outside on the left side under the canopy with about 20 other people. Processing was smooth with 2 counters being operated and taking turns calling up the next in line. At the counter we had to show the appointment printout as well as my passport and received a waiting number in return. It was no problem for my wife to enter as well since she was the visa's petitioner.

After that we were directed to a guy with a cart outside the entrance on the other side of the canopy who handed us a plastic bag in which we had to put everything that was in our pockets as well as my belt.
With the bag in hand we had to stand in front of the security area until it was cleared of previous visitors that had to go through security. Once in it was ... read complete review

My experience at the Frankfurt Consulate was great. Everyone was extremely polite and efficient. The security officers were very nice. I arrived at 9:20 and my interview was at 9:30. I was guided to the waiting area to wait until I was called up to do an identity verification. After that, I waited until I was called up for my official interview. They asked me:

1. Why did you decide to marry your fiancee?
2. How did you meet?
3. How do you plan on supporting yourselves financially?
4. Where will you live?
5. What does your fiancee do?

The officer interviewing me made it more like a conversation and joked about how easy our case was. At the end, he told me "everything looks good for you. Your visa has been approved." I was in the consulate for 1.5-2 hours. The process took my fiancee and I four months from filing to approval. August 15th-December 15th. :D

Special Notes:
1. Stay calm. The people there were p... read complete review

Had a great experience with the Frankfurt consulate.

My initial appointment was pushed forward by over 4 weeks to my personal request. I sent an email to the consulate directly, once my case was in transit and the physical file was received. I informed them, that I already passed the medical exam and had everything ready and could come to any spontaneous appointment. I got a phone call then a week later, if I would be available the next day and took the offer.

So booked myself a hotel, drove to Frankfurt and had my appointment Thursday the following morning at 9:30.

As for the regular procedure, all has been explained here multiple times and it wasn't different in my case. Took about 90 Min. total. Very friendly and relaxed people. Forgot to take out the xray CD out of my documents, but they put it into a lock box and gave me a number to pick it up later, no big deal.

As for the actual interview with the consul: it was obvio... read complete review

So this is my review for the interview at frankfurt and since i liked reading other reviews i'll write one too. So my interview was 9:45 i got there 9:30 it was very empty that time. Sometimes you wonder while filing all the stuff why it is so complicated and so many things to do. So when you get there you finally know why. So there is two lines where you can wait, the security guy will ask you what kind of visa you have and he will point you to the right lane. Then at the first window you'll give them your passport and the confirmation page. They will check that and put a waiting number in your passport. Then you go back to the left side of the line you waited for security. Don't worry everything is marked on the ground or with signs. Just look around and you'll find it all easy. In the security line you put everything yourself in a plastic bag and then wait at the line until the door opens ( watch the person in the window right to the door for instructions. In the small building you'... read complete review
