Review Topic: K1 Visa

Had my interview earlier this morning. i made sure to arrive there an hour earlier because I remember my last time there it was very busy & packed to get a parking space. I advise if you drive there yourself. Don't try & waste your time to park near the consulate bc you wont get a chance, rather park near Friedberger Landstrasse there is always enough space & walk to the consulate(not even 5 mins). Last year I applied for a B1/B2 visa & it was pretty fast the officers are nice & speak 2 languages minimum! This time it was even faster(for my visa class very surprising). They directed me to window 22 I gave them me my daughter's(k2) passports & waited 5 mins to get called on window 20. He asked me in what language I want to do this interview & I said I can speak both well. So he then took my fingerprints.checked on his list that I have all the documents & ask when I want to leave(soon as possible of course lol) . 10 minutes later I got called to window 18 & a the lady took my oath(raising your right hand, yes you gotta do that ^_^) & ask about my daughter's fathers consent (shared custody) & this letter I done submitted back when they needed the paperwork from the affidavit in package 3. She asked for exact dates when we met physically for the first time & what date he proposed to me. That's it. I made a big folder for nothing but attention with that ALWAYS RATHER BE & SHOW YOU'RE OVERPREPARED/PREPARED THAN END UP WITH TO LESS. All this k1 visa experience was easy to handle as long as you have all your documents in order don't do no last minute things& FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS. When petitioning start gathering all needed documents from the us-embassy fiance visa check list. Make sure you have the latest versions of petitions & affidativs. ONLY TRUST GOVERMENT RESOURCES! & keep in touch with your case worker by email if any changes occur you need to keep them updated first. I only had one delay for a 6 weeks after I submitted all my documents to get instructions to schedule the interview, bc my passports wasn't valid enough, at least have 1.5 good years of validity on it. That especially goes to foreign citizens that reside in germany on their "pink card". This is no joke ya'll those passports can take their time. But I made it I will check my mail every day from now bc as soon as I got my passports back it's booking time. I'm outta here lol
