Had my interview earlier this morning. i made sure to arrive there an hour earlier because I remember my last time there it was very busy & packed to get a parking space. I advise if you drive there yourself. Don't try & waste your time to park near the consulate bc you wont get a chance, rather park near Friedberger Landstrasse there is always enough space & walk to the consulate(not even 5 mins). Last year I applied for a B1/B2 visa & it was pretty fast the officers are nice & speak 2 languages minimum! This time it was even faster(for my visa class very surprising). They directed me to window 22 I gave them me my daughter's(k2) passports & waited 5 mins to get called on window 20. He asked me in what language I want to do this interview & I said I can speak both well. So he then took my fingerprints.checked on his list that I have all the documents & ask when I want to leave(soon as possible of course lol) . 10 minutes later I got called to window 18 & a the lady took my oath(raisin... read complete review

My Interview was today at 08:00am.
I arrived with the U5 (few stations from the main railway station) at 'Gießenerstr.'
As Instructed by my fellow Interviewers in Frankfurt i immediately went to the Consulate Kiosk and dropped off my Overnight bag and all my Electronics including Headphones.
The walk to the entrance of the consulate from the little kiosk is about 3-5 Minutes.
When you are a citizen or are in the immediate family category you can skip the long line and head straight up front where they call you to give you a Number and check your passport. (you kind of feel like a celebrity hahaha)
Once thats done, you go through security. Those guys have kind of an attitude so just do as you are told by them. Make sure you consolidate all your belongings in one plastic tray (my tray was overflowing so i just automatically grabbed a second one.. yeah, don't do that LOL) or else you get yelled at, like i did.
As soon as you are finished wi... read complete review

All these reviews are spot on and very helpful. My husband just had his interview and was in and out in about 50 minutes. He has to email them my last years W2 and the medical results were not there yet from the exam, but didn't expect them to be since he got it less than a week ago, and he will be approved! They kept his passport and said it would be about a week.
The longest wait he said he had was at the service counter. The interviewer only asked basic questions such as how/when we met, my occupation and his occupation. We concluded that he was way more nervous than need be, and it was a very positive interaction.

All done!! javascript:emoticon('')
My appointment was at 7:30 this morning and I got there at around 7:15. Everything went smoothly and exactly as described by others. All the employees there were friendly and helpful, the most stressful part was waiting to be called up to the windows to talk to the officers / consul.
He asked me how I met my fiancé, what he does for a living and why I want to marry him (and he joked about how not to tell him that it is because I love him, because everyone gives him that answer).
I explained all of the above and then he told me that everything looked great and I was going to have my visa within the next 8 days. Yay!!!! Now on to booking a flight and getting myself packed...

I was in and out at the consulate in an hour.
Very friendly staff and the interview is easy. I was nervous but at the end the visa got approved after the embassy received my medical documents.
