Today I had my interview at the consulate.

Overall it took 2 hours. The actual interview was only 5 minutes and I was approved. The consular officer was really nice and was listening to me.

Overall it was a really nice experience and everyone there was nice to me. Thank you!

Status: Approved!

I was at the consulate in Frankfurt today for my IR1 visa interview.

We stayed overnight at a hotel nearby and left my phone at the hotel.

I arrived around 7:30 for my 8:15 interview, and was glad I arrived that early because it meant that all the lines I had to wait in were shorter. Waited outside for maybe 20 minutes, and once I was inside, I had to go to three windows/counters:

My medical results havenâ€â„... read complete review

My husband had his interview today and he had a really good experience at the consulate. His wait time was between an hour and an hour and a half, but the interview itself took about 30 minutes.

During his interview, he worked with an employee who took his documents and scanned them, as well as the employee who did the actual interview. He said they were both really friendly and kind and made him feel at ease.

They asked for his NVC civil documents, plus a couple of others that they requested in our interview date email. Nothing that we hadn't already submitted.

The questions were straightforward:
1.) How did we meet?
2.) How did we continue our 5 years of dating being from different countries, and how did we stay together? (He just said how I was living in Germany the whole time, how we both found universities in the same city, etc.)
3.) Why did we decide to get married?
4.) What does he plan to do when he gets ... read complete review
