UPDATE: November 14, 2021-they received the Family Registration. December 28, 2021-The US Embassy called my fiancé and told him he turned in the wrong paperwork. They did not ask for a family registration, they asked for an individual registration??? He told them, your co workers told me this. They yelled at him and told him that is not what we asked for! He explained that he will get this and asked if he could send it in through Aramex, to which she told him yes any Aramex. Which was confusing since they no longer have a contract with them and changed to SLS Embassy Services for documents and passport pickup.

He got the paperwork necessary and attempted to send through Aramex in Cairo, they said they no longer will send to the Embassy. He tried to call the Embassy, they told him he needs to send in his question through email. I emailed them. He went home (which is 2 hours from Cairo). He went to Shebin the next day to Aramex, the... read complete review

My husband and I have been to the US Embassy in Cairo 3 times now. The first time was in mid-2019 to get the documents from the Citizen Services to get married here in Egypt. I was lucky I realized 3 or 4 months in advanced that we needed an appointment to go to the embassy, because the appointments were booked for at least 3 months from the date I checked. I was able to get one of the last appointments available a few days before our wedding. We arrived about an hour earlier than our appointment, waited a bit in the little cafe, and then walked to the entrance. We didn’t have to wait outside long, but once through security, and in the correct place, we waited for at least 4 hours total, even though we had an appointment. It was a total mess. Keep in mind that this department is for US citizens trying to get things done and the only place in Egypt to do it. The people were rude, and they didn’t care how long anyone had to wait. Overall, I was very unimpressed. From my pre... read complete review

After waiting over 2 years for our K1 Interview we finally had our interview!!! We were so excited and nervous and anxious to say the least! We arrived at the US Embassy in Cairo at 6:40am and stood in line (to the left) until 8:10 when a kind woman came out and asked all the K1 Visa applicants to come in, I was with my fiancé and brought my covid vaccine card and my negative PCR test, they still would not let me go in with him. He was so upset for this, he almost cancelled the interview. The kind woman in the blue shirt promised to help me if I needed anything while he was inside. Finally he went inside. For the first 3 hours I was able to stand on the Embassy side of the street, then a very rude woman came out and yelled at me that I needed to go across the street. I explained that the other woman said I could stand here. She stated "she doesn't know what she is doing and I needed to get off the property. I was very surprised how rudely I was treated by my own Embassy! There was n... read complete review

Hello everyone

My husbands appointment was at 8:00 am.
He arrived at 7:10 am and they were not let in until 8:00 am and he was in there until 12:30 pm.
He got a number and sat down. A young lady called him to look at his original police certificate, birth certificate and our marriage certificate and the gave them back to him.
He wasn’t asked for any more papers even though he had everything printed. I believe this is because I uploaded everything to the CEAC website even updated I-864 affidavit of support forms.

Then he was finally called up for his interview. He said she was a very pleasant young woman. She was smiling the whole interview. She asked him:
What does he work?
What does he plan to do when he gets to the states?
If we had any kids?
What’s our baby’s name?
How did we meet?
What do I work?
Does he know our joint sponsor personally?
Was I married be... read complete review

Hello everyone
My K1 visa interview date was for August 24th, I'd like to start with how longgg and hard this process was due to the pandemic but in the end our patience was rewarded and it's making things feel even more sweeter.

My appointment was for 8:30 am I brought with me literally everything I could think of, I arrived at the security gate at 6:30 am ( wouldn't recommend arriving that early, an hour or less prior to the appointment time is more than fine). they let me in at 8:00, before entering through security they checked for my appointment letter then told me to make my way to the embassy gate.

A lady was checking if our photos were good enough as well as our interview letters, then we were told to wait in line and went in one by one.

Oh also an important detail ( DO NOT bring your significant other with you because due to the pandemic they won't let them in. I saw someone's partner being told to wait outside until he's don... read complete review
