We arrived at 06:30 outside of embassy and instructed to wait on line 3. They walked the line and reviewed our documents and told us where to wait once inside. We were given a folder with instructions of what documents to put inside. Follow the instructions, don't put in anything more than they instruct. However, have all of your extra evidence of relationship, financial support, etc., available if needed. We then went and waited for a more detailed document check as well as some questions- this was done by a Colombian. After this we went to wait in another area where we were called for the final interview which is given by an American. I, the USC petitioner was asked questions. My fiancee was not asked any questions. The American Consulate Official said you are approved! The questions are based on the paperwork which you submitted on the initial I-129F as well as the package you sent to the consulate and the DS-156/DS-156K. All took less than 3 1/2 hours. It was a good and positive exp... read complete review

Our interview was Thursday August 12. My fiance and I arrived at the embassy around 6:30 am. I knew we had to get in line 3 from reading reviews from the website, so that's what we did. While we were in line we began hearing a lady through a speakerphone explaining the line process. After that we got green stickers i guess green stickers are for k1 visas. we were asked to show the appointment letter and passport, I showed my passport as well. A Domesa representative gave us a form to fill out. We were told to go to section 40. there was a lady in a booth with folders (very nice lady). she explained to us that inside the folder was a checklist of the things we had to put inside. We sat down to organize everything and then we had to go back to the lady in the booth and she checked the folder and told us to proceed to the section by Domesa window 30,31,32 (i think those were the windows). a lady there called my fiance to window 31, she was colombian (a little rude)we thought that was the ... read complete review

we arrived at the embassy around 6:40 am. the lady standing outside asked us what we were there for we told her for the k-1 visa. she gave us both a green sticker and told us to stand in line 3.we waited for about five mins and than they started everyone inside from line 3. they told us to stand against the wall by the bathrooms(only line # people) and than a colombian girl started talking really loud explaining how she was going to give us a brown folder to put all the paper work inside and on the left hand side was a piece a paper with the directions and order they wanted the paper work in, she explained to us that after we sit down and get all the paper work ready to stand in line again so we can show it to her and she can review it quickly because they dont want any mistakes so it can save time to the people who actually review the folder. she checked everything and sent us to go sit on the other side of the court yard by the windows number 23-33 (something like that) some were blu... read complete review

No importa que preparado vayas y cuantas fotos, o impresiones de tus conversaciones lleves, todo se reduce a los papeles que te piden y a la persona que te los revisa.

We showed up at the embassy at 7:30am, and unfortunately had to wait until 3:45pm...While there my wife caught up with another couple she had met at her medical exam, we were all very excited and shared our stories which made the time fly by really quickly. The other couple had their interview about 3:00pm and were done in about 10min, we unfortunately where called last but it was all worth it, the Consulate was a real nice lady who only asked 3 questions including proof which we had a photo album, she glanced at a few pictures asked my wife where each had been taken, and then my spouse turned to me and said, all done. At first I didnt know what she meant, I turned to the consulate who just smiled at me and said congratulations. In all we spent about 5min.
I want to thank everyone at VJ for their great advice and do suggest to anyone who is still wating to try and accompany your spouse not only will your spouse feel less stressed but the consulate will be more easy on the int... read complete review
